Total employed in Scotland = 2,618,100 Total employed in England = 28,390,000
Go figure
You say 'go figure' I say that is naivity in the extreme. I would like to think that you would dig a little deeper, or as I said originally 'research'. You seem to think that tax take is purely from employment - it most certainly isn't. The figures are out there for the tax take and how much of this tax take is attributed to Scotland. There is another issue in this that some people are not aware of - goods that go from Scotland to English ports for export are regarded as English exports. Now to my mind that ammounts to a substantial loss to Scotland - would you agree? We need honesty from both sides when it comes to the next independence vote next year. I am ever hopeful that we will get this honesty this time, we certainly didn't get honesty from 'Better Together' in 2014.

However, be that as it may if you are so sure of your figures go ahead, have your independence. Nothing would delight me more because unlike you I know that it will reduce the England tax bill But don't come crawling back when it hits you hard 'cos by then we will be rid of you, once and for all

In the meantime, who would like to bet whether BJ writes that letter asking for an extension so he can secure a deal?
My guess is that he won’t. He will come up with some notion that the Benn Act was not lawfully passed, or is flawed in some other way, , and out we go into chaos. Please convince me I am wrong!

I find it extremely hard to keep calm when my country man and women are treated as scroungers by some when in effect they have been keeping the coffers at Westminster topped up for decades. This is obviously not the forum for me so I will leave you to it!
