You may be right about the Canaries; although part of Spain they do seem to work under different rules! The woman with a broken leg shared a hospital room with just one other, an elderly local resident. I am told these double rooms are common also in France but most people I have spoken to hate it, saying that if they can’t have a single room they would prefer a multi-bed bay. I know I would! Calais intensive care was single rooms, no TV or radio and the glass walls were one way glass where the medics could see in but we could not see out. They transferred me to Boulogne where it was two to a room at least with TV, even if it was all in French

Fear not, folks, for Boris will mend the NHS, make our schools the best in the world, pay for our dementia care so we can die rich... Has he found the magic money tree Mrs May insisted didn’t exist?

Don't get excited Once Brexit is over and we have left, especially with No Deal, and the Tories have their landslide victory we will be forced into a collapsing economy with an emergency budget to slash present spending - never mind all these empty promises

Sadly people will fall for it, and Johnson will go some way towards achieving it by borrowing at an unprecedented level

I was wrong to say ‘people will fall for it’ because only some will, hopefully not enough. I am disturbed by the number who still think predictions of lost jobs are nothing but false scaremongering, but are they enough to get a Johnson government elected?

It is not scaremongering The evidence is already there with the number of jobs already gone

They are probably part time zero hour contract jobs Imagine going from a proper job making Nissan cars to working in MacDonald's

You took the words out of my mouth there! What burden? This is the problem believing what the MSM tell you. Take Scotland as an example because I'm sure that is what you are referring to. If you leave oil out of the equation the tax take from Scotland far exceeds the Barnett formula money they get back - known as our pocket money up here. The extra in tax is controlled by Westminster and THEY decide how it should be spent. The oil money has been squandered as everyone should be aware. Look at Norway, look at their finances re oil and then tell me Scotland is a burden. It is a total nonsense and after independence the poor relation will be the rest of the UK. If anyone is unsure about these facts I'm sure a bit of research will put you straight.
Strewth this makes by blood boil!

What burden? Total employed in Scotland = 2,618,100 Total employed in England = 28,390,000
Go figure
