Every minute brings news of another minister resigning, could be jumping before pushed or rats deserting the sinking ship Robust blustery typical Johnson speech in Downing St promising the earth to all and sundry but no mention of how he will find the money to fund it all

A new face, an Asian bloke, who is the new Secretary to the Treasury was all over the TV media this morning. When asked where the money was coming from to pay for all these promises he claimed that due to the prudence of the previous Chancellor, Hammond, there is umpteen billions in the kitty. Funny that May didn't use this kitty, if it really exists

Will Johnson be the last PM of the UK? It's an interesting thought Perhaps if the UK leaves the EU, and Scotland, Wales, and N Ireland choose independence there might well be common sense one day and an attempt to restore the status quo

There are reports that Boris is already doing trade deals with the US. I hope he is getting full parliamentary backing before agreeing to anything. I worry that the US will flood our market with loads of cheap rubbish.

Bit Brexiters assure us that we will be free to trade with the rest of the world, i.e. even more cheap rubbish and junk coming in from China

I feel we have too much trade with the US as it is. Most of that is one way. I wonder how many Wimpy Bars have ever opened in America.

Canada has now legalised cannabis for recreational use, and a party of our MPs have been to investigate how it is working. They are recommending that we do the same Backing them is the American owned company that supplies most Canada, needless to say rubbing their wallets at the prospect of rich pickings here We are going to pot

Someone's going to make a profit - we are living in a capitalist society - and better them than criminals.
Theresa May's husband had an investment in a company that grows cannabis, which is then exported, so he (and she) make a profit from it.
In 2014 May tried to get a section from a report on cannabis removed that said that there is no indication that a tough drugs law acts as a deterrent. She's not interested in evidence, just prejudice: which is why medical cannabis is so hard to get here.

Cheap and dangerous: the US food poisoning rate is 10 times what we have here.
