Don't know about Muslims - but generally I would say Khan has the (Labour )migrant vote. We went to town on the train last week and closer to inner London (generally) the larger the ethnic population who would be voting Khan. It was marked that all the other boroughs voted Hall (even though she appeared absolutely useless) simply because of ULEZ. It's in the outer boroughs where it's been most negatively felt. A single parent childminder pal of mine had to get rid of her non-compliant car as her son goes to a school just inside the zone. Her wealthy brother who inherited the family farm in Ireland (and sold off loads of the land to the equivalent of the Forestry Commission) So kind-hearted - he LENT her the money to get another... A lady visit (MS) has a regular carer who has always come to her. The carer lives over the border - again, "sorry, can't come anymore' Another pal of mine now pays the gardener's ULEZ as well as his pay for the job! It's poorer people it's hit.
I voted for Khan and he's been absolutely useless. Never accepting responsibility and always blames the government. Ha.. it'll be interesting to see who he blames with Labour in power...

<BTW Do you have to be rich to vote conservative> I haven't bothered voting this time for any candidates, C19 made a right mess of our economic situation , I think had Corbyn 's lot been in they would have made a pigs ear of it too. We had never had anything like this since WW2, that took over 50 years to pay back our debts, now we owe trillions, what is the answer if people think any real changes can be made now? There was a pandemic in 1957, but the govt and opposition decided that this would be bad for all political parties to try and deal with so they delegated local councils and health boards to deal with it. There were national campaigns about using handkerchiefs and washing your hands. Doctors were alerted about symptoms and a lot of people died buy no national statistics were compiled. My mum remembers people on buses with scarves round their mouths and noses and the buses having the windows open etc. She caught it and was in bed two weeks. Nobody really talks about it but it was worldwide. Asian Flu or something.

I read somewhere that over 75's don't have to have smart meters, so I'll try to avoid one. I can't see any benefits for having one installed, I mean whatever the bills are we have to pay them, if your smart meter is broken or faulty we have to buy another one. I can choose when I want to pay now and I pay mine quarterly, but even if it was annually I still wouldn't mind, I honestly can't think why I should expose my bank security by giving my bank details away to a robot that can be hacked.

[The installation can also take hours – during which time you'll have to go without power – plus it won't save you money or fight climate change by itself. This means you'll have to adjust your behaviour based on what the smart meter tells you, or it won't make any difference to your bills or carbon footprint.]

As Cameron is no longer an MP I don't believe he should be stirring up more shit re-Gaza with statements like this. (not in my name David.)
David Cameron says UK will not withhold arms sales to Israel.

We don't directly sell arms to Israel. Unlike other countries and what is sold through licensed companies is not at the same level as the US and Germany for instance. I think it is less than 1% of our arms sales. I could be wrong but wasn't Theresa May's husband involved in arms brokering?
What I would like to see is registration for UK dual nationals travelling abroad to join another army. Not the unofficial Israeli militias, where people claim their children are working in 'security', that should be banned immediately with consideration given to removing UK citizenship. If you were heading off to Bangladesh to do two years in their army there would be questions asked and if you were working in 'security' in Pakistan you'd probably get a prison sentence on your return. For 'security' read mercenary, for Kibbutz Militias read mercenary.
National Service in another country that you are a dual citizen of in most cases would be legitimate but should be registered with the Home Office. We do need a record of all UK citizens who are been in a foreign army - even if that means we use it to call them up for us in the future. The Home Office not knowing how many people this applies to is ludicrous. Is it hundreds or thousands? Most estimates suggest that hundreds of dual British/Israeli young people do this every year, and do not notify any UK govt department, this amounts to thousands overall. We should know who they are and where they were and what role they had. It doesn't matter if its Israel, South Korea, or Congo, any country that has National Service applies.
