I fail to see why they are opposing equality.

I personally fail to see how they didn't know. The news was everywhere and unfortunate as it is govts can change the pension age. These women got a lot more notice than women in other countries. They'll never see this money.
If I was in govt and compiling a list of compensation payouts, they'd be on it but firstly would be blood borne virus sufferers, nuclear test victims, catastrophic vaccine event victims, people who worked with toxic chemicals, post office subpostmasters. Most of these haven't ever been properly compensated.

IMHO, they didn't get enough pay or time to accumulate enough wealth to sustain themselves over the now shortened savings time. Any one over 55 has a very hard task trying to find another job , over sixty? no chance.

But why did they leave work then? I can't see myself retiring before I'm 70. I might reduce my hours to bring me under the tax threshold, but my part time NHS pension (when the children were small) and my University of London pension aren't enough to just give up work.
I feel that this is just the way it is. It's what life deals you. In other countries people are only getting one year's notice of the change. People also had the option of paying upfront for their NI and getting the pension earlier. There is a requirement that you must contribute for 35 years, 4 of which must be between the age of 50-60. This is the part they could pay for if they wished. One of the staff I worked with in the NHS doubled her contributions so that she could get her pension earlier.
If I had worked 4 hours more a week for the NHS I would have got a full time pension, but nobody told me that and that's the breaks.

That's similar to the women who didn't pay the full stamp and lost their partners before they retired.

I think the Waspi women now have Sunak over a barrel, the grey vote couldn't be more precious to him than now in an election year?
Sky news is all about Princess Kate's cancer now.

Why don't we install auto road blockers on all our exit roads on motorways ? A man has died in a car crash following reports he was driving the wrong way down the M62 motorway. Police received calls shortly after 2am on Saturday that a Vauxhall Corsa was travelling westbound on the eastbound carriageway.50 mins ago
