So, the cabinet met on Friday for a bun fight and it was a great success! Here we are on Monday and it seems it wasn't such a success after all!
I don't know if it will make a great deal of difference to the EU as David Davis has only spent a total of 4 hours with Michel Barnier in two years! I await with a wry smile what will happen next.

I like the suggestion from both the Scot Nat bloke and Vince Cable for May to tell the hard line Brexit Tories to "shove off", and form a national government

The Conservatives are NOT a national government , they are a London government , with no interest in the rest of the country.

Not much interest in much of London either: we're only ever had one Conservative canvasser in the 35 years we've been living here, and that was a candidate for the council, a young nurse, who the local party had allowed or sent out to do our estate on her own.

Why didn't Davis and Johnson air their grievances at Chequers last week? Why did they just sit there and watch the Prime Minister trying to figure out the best way forward, only to torpedo it a day later. Oh...I see why! I hope that May-Brexit succeeds (it is, after all, not 100 miles apart from Starmer-Brexit) , and I hope that Davis, Johnson, and anyone else who puts their own ambitions before the security and prosperity of their country sink without trace.

They claim that they did, that was when Johnson's "polish a t**d" was expressed but the rest agreed differently, and they would have lost their cars had they resigned there. I think it shows how little support Johnson and Davies have amongst the Cabinet. good

The rats are deserting a sinking ship. At this stage, I found all MPs disgustingly self serving. None of them care a fig about the future of this country. I don't think Theresa May is a particularly wonderful PM,but she has my sympathy.

"No deal is one of those really bad ideas, like shell suits or Celine Dion, which we thought we could leave in the past. But this summer it's somehow all the rage. It's discussed as if it were just another Brexit option.
It is not. No-deal is probably the most demented policy put forward by mainstream British politicians in the modern era. To see how it would work in practice, this piece looks at what would happen on day one. Doing this for the whole economy would take countless pages of Stephen-King-style horror, so it's stripped down to one topic: food. This is the story of how our system for importing and exporting food implodes almost instantly."Continued at... www.politics.co.uk/blogs/2018/07/27/this-is-what-no-deal-brexit-actually-looks-like

@jimmy what kind of stuff do you reckon it's worth stockpiling? Essentials that won't go out of date and will be usable regardless, tinned food and the most important - toilet paper!

When this madness comes to a head (notice I didn't say end) will those who voted for brexit take stock or will they continue to insist it is the best thing since sliced bread?
I despair at times when you see our country(countries) being trashed just to save face and these politicians will still get support.
Stockpiling food for how long? It is a bit like 'the war will be over by Christmas'! Living on tinned food isn't my idea of a healthy diet - but will the powers that be care? No!
