No snow here - unless it came and went before I got up. Scarcely raining at the moment, although light rain forecast for most of the day.

Yesterday teatime when it started snowing, there was a white out. I couldn't see my own front gates , it was snowing so heavily. It was wonderland this morning, but it has melted a bit this afternoon.

.A quick couple of pics I took this morning. The snow comes up to Leo's tummy, he doesn't like it. My daughter's Jack Russells were playing in the snow when I rang her to check she was OK.

That snow looks very wet, Althea. Precipitation here ceased by about half 3 - there was a bit of sleet mixed in with it for a while.
I was going to walk to the new Lidl but discovered it's so new it hasn't actually opened yet, so went to Asda instead. It felt a bit chilly on the way home, but wasn't icy underfoot - I imagine it will be in the morning.

Morning all: We had another couple of inches of snow over night, very frosty too. I must try and get the car out because I have an appointment to have my ears syringed at 9am.

Hi Ron, I've got a hospital appointment at 11.30, I can't be arsed to try and clear the snow and ice of the car, so it's out with my free bus pass, I've another appointment there tomorrow too.

Wednesday already, how did that happen). Nice clear day so far. Finally stopped raining last night. The merest dusting of frost this morning (the first this autumn I think). Finally landed 80 tulip bulbs the other day, let’s see how many come up (not many probably). I’ve a delivery coming this morning, not planning anything else apart from a little WI errand this afternoon which Dave is going to help me within preparation to a pie and mash lunch (with 18 others) round at our WI President’s house. I truly don’t know how she does all the catering that she does - respect.

At the moment it's snowing quite heavily in Gloucester, which is probably as far south as it's likely to get. Just for a change, we have night time temperatures of 13 degrees and gale force winds forecast for this coming weekend.

I've never had much success with tulips, except a variety with pink and white fringed and mangled petals (they're sposed to be like that) When they succeeded and bloomed I wished they hadn't. 😐

Is the cathedral worth a visit? We were on our way back to Essex from our second rate Warner's weekend in Holme Lacy...🤣 PS I just learned that Gloucester Cathedral was a location in The Mirror and The Light (Wolf Hall) though doubling up for Shaftesbury Abbey...

A bright and frosty morning here. Cold, too - I felt it in my fingers when I went outside to get the bins in. Might have to try and find my gloves before I go for a walk. I thought of going out early to get some frosty photos, but had a bath instead. The frost has gone now, of course, but I suspect it's still a bit nippy out there.

I believe the Siberian wind is picking up and heading down country by the end of the week. Get your ear muffs on, it's more than a bit nippy.

It's 5 degrees here and will be minus 4 overnight, like it was last night. It snowed during the night again here too. I found out yesterday, that my next door neighbour is very poorly with bowel cancer. I have been keeping out of his way for a while after his protestations of love for me. He doesn't really know me and we have absolutely nothing in common. Now I feel guilty, thinking I could have been kinder. Nigel, over the road is also battling bowel cancer. Two cases so close together seems a coincidence.
