God bless poor America. That man is a bigot, a racist, a proven liar, a misogynist, a braggart, a bully and a convicted felon. Yet he till got voted in. It seems you can fool all of the people all of the time.

You missed something out Althea, he's also an ar*sehole.
I've spent ages wrapping up Christmas selection boxes for all the family, fourteen boxes. We still buy them for the daughters, their husbands and the children.

Hi all, I had two appointments with dermatology today, the first appointment was just a dressing change and the second appointment was with a female doctor. After I sat down the doctor told me the pustule that I had removed was cancerous, now I will have to be monitored four times in the first year and twice in my second year, I then had to undress down to my underpants and have a full body examination, she told me that if I noticed any changes in head, neck or torso that I would have to call their unit immediately.

No Ron, they were all still talking about it this morning. Drags on until January I think where no doubt the TV channels will be sending umpteen reporters over to Washington to perish in the freezing cold whilst someone warbles some tune and someone else reads something. The highlights of which could be 5 minutes.
JF Kennedy is hoping for a position in charge of the FDA where amongst other things he hopes to privatise all vaccination programmes, slash Medicare and Obamacare to save billions. He has this batshit crazy idea that we can develop natural immunity to diseases instead of having vaccinations. Try that with smallpox? Remember this is a country that has about 150 cases of bubonic plague every year, wait for that outbreak, not to mention the cases of rabies they have over there.
I am worried for Ukraine, Trump has previously praised Putin for his invasion and said that Putin was just getting Russian territory back. The refugee situation will go through the roof if he doesn't give them the aid they need. Meanwhile Germany's govt has collapsed and that is also in part about money for Ukraine and whether is is legal to spend more than 0.35% on overseas aid.

Yesterday wasn't the best of days. It got off to a bad start with the news of Trump's victory in the presidential election, although that looked on the cards before I drifted off to sleep. The weather was dank and dismal, but forecast to lighten up, so we decided to stick with our plan of going to the Warburg nature reserve, near Bix Bottom. Over 900 species of mushroom have been reported there, but we saw hardly any. The trees were clad in colourful autumn garb but looked rather sombre in the gloom - not very photogenic. We lost each other for over an hour at one point and there was no phone signal. Got stuck in a massive queue of traffic going through Sonning on the way home and didn't get back till gone 5. Had a quick cuppa and then went to the food share. Got there slightly earlier than usual, but there was virtually nothing left. Stopped off at the pub on our way back to cheer ourselves up and then had a long chat with Grace-2, so it wasn't all bad. Just about to go to the cinema now.

Since the result, I have tuned out. 'We're gonna fix everything' from Republicans and 'The end of the world' from Democrats. Groan on both counts.

Ooer Riki. Not good news but they will keep an eye on you now. I sincerely hope it is not an aggressive type...

Hi maris, I have had an headache every day since the end of December 2019, I have already had an MRI brain scan which was fruitless, I saw a neurologist, but all was in vain, medication was simply making me giddy without removing any relief whatsoever. A previous dose of the shingles on my scalp and the back of my neck is now believed to be the culprit, the neurologist thought that disease has left me with nerve damage. Anyway the second appointment yesterday involved cryogenic treatment to another smaller legion on top of my scalp about two inches away from my surgical procedure about one month ago, I feel like I've been clubbed with a cricket batch which fortunately I now have to treat the pain myself with Scotland's finest product every night now, is it bed time yet?

It's been a dull day here and it's a few degrees colder than it was. Just as I'm getting over the lurgy, my foot has started being painful again. I even had the big surgical boot on in bed last night. I have it on now and for the foreseeable future. No walk for Leo today, as I am resting my foot as much as I can. I will be glad to see the back of this year.

The boot does help because it holds the foot securely in one position. I must have been overdoing it lately. I'm very disappointed it's not fixed yet. I think it maybe needs more time.
