My youngest daughter and family came yesterday and my grandson has shot up since I last saw him. His mother thinks he's not too bright, she says he moves his lips when other people read. He is bright and he offered to weed my front garden for me. Bless him, he was very thorough and did a great job. I gave him some money as a reward and he was so surprised. His 15 year old sister couldn't do anything as she had just her nails done. My daughter did lots of jobs for me that have been niggling at me for a while. Bless her, she is a wonderful help. When I thanked her, she said she had to stop me from attempting things I couldn't do. She says I'm terrible and go at a mile a minute. Ah, those were the days..........

Mile -a- minute. Yep she knows you alright. They'd have to tie you down 😁 What a great excuse though "Can't help. I've just done my nails" Must remember that...

I have a dog and a cat and I love them both....except at bedtime. The dog comes to bed with me and snuggles down next to my pillow. The cat arrives uninvited and makes a bee-line for the one place I don't want him...on my legs. That in itself is a no-no but he then proceeds to turn around so having woke me up continues to keep me awake. Nothing will get him to settle elsewhere. Why are cats such buggers?

My granddaughter fell in love with Leo yesterday -everyone does. She asked her mum if they would be having Leo if anything happened to me and my daughter said yes. Jess then kept looking me up and down, as if assessing how long I might have left. They went to the shops with Leo in tow and Jess carried him home - because he was nervous,Grandma.

My daughter asked for my evening bag when I die. I'm not sure where it is, but she will get everything when I die. I was worried about my dog if I died before her but I don't have that worry now the border collie has crossed the rainbow bridge.
I was very worried about my grandchildren being made to kiss me if they didn't want to, and said so. Maybe your grandson will study wildlife conservation when he grows up Maris, and will end up holding worse things than baby crabs.

Morning all; I'm hoping we have another fine day just like yesterday. Nearly another month over.

Speaking of leaving certain things when we've gone, I must say that my mum was pretty good as over quite a while, she chucked loads of clutter out and organised what remained. That said, it was still a mammoth task, clearing the house.
My aunt, conversely never sorted anything and when she died, it took me two whole days to shred just her credit card statements which went back years and years to the 1970s 🙄
Personally, I wouldn't know where to start with all the stuff in this house...😐

Hi all, l last Thursday I took my car in for an MOT and a service, £451 smackers of which £125 was vat, I never realised how many spare parts they would have to change, air con filters, and oil and filters etc. Anyway I took it back to the garage because it was leaking oil, fair play to the garage though, they fixed it for free and I collected the car about four hours later, using my concessionary bus pass on a two bus journey, fifteen minutes in the car and one hour by bus with a fifteen minute walk both ways, my back was twinging but the walk will do me good huffing and puffing both ways.

Yep, you gotta give those lungs a work out! I think you got off fairly light there with the service bill considering it sounds like a major one. Is this your Focus?

Hi maris, sadly it is not, I bought a peugeot 207 with 50 thousand on the clock in jan 22, it has been in garages half a dozen times already, the only good thing about is it is ulez compliant

We had 3 Focuses. Two mark 1 and one Mark 2. Legendary. The best one was the first - a two-door Focus Ink with heated leather seats, little leather steering wheel - really punchy. It was stolen from right outside my door on a Sunday afternoon! The police said whoever took it had been eyeing it for some time waiting for the right opportunity as it was usually in the garage 😐
