Evening: Just listening to Boom Radio..
They played 'Zabadak' by Dave, Dee, Rosey, Beaky, Mick and Rich. 🎼 Zabadak, Karakakora, kakalakak, Zabadak, Shai, Shai, Skagalak 🎶
Aaah...they don't write 'em like that anymore 🤣

We had gale force winds last night and it blew my garden furniture all over. My neighbour, Nigel picked it up for me when he came to walk Leo. Such a kind lad and I'm wondering how on earth I can show my appreciation for all of his help. I don't want to put on his good nature, but he keeps offering help. 🎶 Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours.... God bless him.

I love Boom radio, they don't make music like that any more. 50's and 60's were the best.

Morning all: The usual Saturday for me, M&S shop and a few things in town. Going to change the bed so hoping it stays dry to hang out on the line.

Well I've woken up with a full blown cold. No idea where it came from. I've dragged myself into work but may pack it in early and go home to a hot toddy. I hope it goes as quick as it came because I'm going up to Edinburgh at the weekend for a couple of days. 🤞

Wasn't it Tich?
A hire van without a disabled badge was parked in the Disabled spaces at Tescos. The driver was playing a loud racket so as I passed with my trolley I said loudly "It'll never replace music".
When I got back, my gardener had arrived an hour early. He is close to moving into a decent bungalow after 2 1/2 years in a rapidly deteriorating caravan. It's so bad that he is classed as homeless, but his housing officer is on leave until 2 September so he won't know if they will pay his deposit before he has to sign on 6 September. Why these people can't get things organised properly in advance I just do not know. It's all hand to mouth for him because he's been ill with rhinitis and arthritis. His van broke down and he had to have a new gearbox. He's a sort of project for me and a friend. He got me to book my trip to Australia, and took me to Heathrow and home afterwards.
He took away the printer which was too heavy for me to carry away. When I bought it 6 years ago I was strong enough to carry it in. Its replacement was just black and white so was much lighter.

Morning all: Quite cool this morning, I'm not going anywhere anyway. Not much on tv is there, Saturday evenings are very poor.

Rwth. Your gardener sounds like a decent fella who could seriously do with a leg up. Hope it all works out for him - and speedily.
A propos my post above with Dave, Dee and co. It was only afterwards that I noticed predictive text had changed Dozy to Rosy and Tich to Rich. 🙄 So annoying. Mind you, I have to try and keep a lookout because it also changes Hildie to Hoodie 🤣😁 very insulting....

Well, funny you mentioned about a new injectable, Riki, the hospital have offered me a monthly I.V. injection of something called Zoledronate. Obviously related to Alendronic acid. It's very nice of them, since I have already declined the Alendronic acid. I have looked into it and it seems like a good idea, until I read the huge list of serious side effects. I will discuss it with my doctor this week if possible.

Althea, I was hesitant with my lung medication, when they said that it worked for 67% of the people on it I still suffer from known side effects which is a bind but then, I'm still here and I am happy to be so.

My wife was on Allendronic acid and it made her violently sick each time she took it so stopped after a few weeks. The consultant at Gobowen wants her on monthly injections of Romosozumab. It's only been on trial since 2022 and the findings are not too great. 17% of people taking it have had either heart attack or a stroke.

Beach conversation. I was showing tiny crabs to my grandson (age 6) and trying to get him to hold one. Complete refusal. Then he said "I think I will hold one when I'm twelve" "Twelve? ... that's a long time to wait" I said. "...you might be dead by then" he mused. "Very likely" says I. 🤣
