Has anyone tried the Lemon meringue pie from Lidl? It's in the freezer department. We had it to try for dessert today and really enjoyed it.
I will be buying more to keep in the freezer. It can be eaten cold or 25 minutes in the oven.

Morning all: Very warm over night, it's 4am and is 18C here. But they reckon the weather is breaking today. Did lots of washing and ironing yesterday anyway.

It's nice this morning and I'm already in town. Collecting a book and checking out the price of glasses. I can't really stretch to the £500+ Vision Express price I was quoted.
Heading home before 11 because apparently it's going to rain.

They might sell cheap frames but the lense prices are astronomical. I had new lenses put in an old frame - still nearly 300 quid !!!!! Boots might be cheaper 🤔

I swear by Vision express, I used to go to Specsavers but spent too long there going through all the tests. In and out with Vision express and good quality glasses too.

It is 22, but looks like it's going to rain. We had our walk early and then I went across for my prescription on my own. I am thinking of shortening some tops later on. They are always far too long. I sent for some more knicks from M&S and although they are the same size that I always buy, they are about an inch bigger. Every pair looked larger to me, so I measured them. I think M&S are being sneaky about increasing the size a bit, obviously catering for a growing market.

I buy mine from Tesco or Sainsburys, depending on whether I need 5 more pairs in that colour when I'm there.
I saw that it was going to rain and rushed out to get the washing in. It was beginning to spot as I climbed up the back steps but the heavy rain forecast for this afternoon hasn't materialised yet.
Specsavers sell for a price including frames. If they can't sell frames to you Maris, they probably load the price as high as they dare. I ask for a price in the old frames and one for a frame I like, then go for the best option. I don't mind the tests. I ask lots of questions including progress of my cataracts. My friend uses Vision Express to glaze her old frames. For some reason she can't get Specsavers to come to her, despite her living very close to the A39. I think they are afraid of her, as people sometimes are when faced with very well informed logic.

My wife buys all her undies from Sainsbury's. Always good quality. We find Tesco has good quality clothing too. I don't particularly like Asda for clothing, you get what you pay for. We have been expecting rain to arrive too, it was forecast. Sun is out so far today.

I find it quite amusing being retired, I still try and do a few things myself, I have noticed that when I get dressed now as I put everything on standing up, I am starting to wobble a bit now. I cut Mrs cut-out's hair and do her toenails once a week, with my tremor it now takes a while longer to do anything, putting a teaspoon of coffee in my cup sometimes half of the coffee becomes airborne. As I am hyper mobile I can still stand on the back of my hands, I find that now with a dram or many of scotch that I don't drink much as I spill some, still at least I can still afford it.

You need to measure the overall width of your favourite pair, the nose bridge width and the distance between your pupils and the arm lengths as well, along with your prescription for the left and right eyes. You can use the three dimensional camera on your own image to see what you would look like with them on.

Do you remember where you were 55 years ago today? That was the day Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. I'm sure most people watched it live somewhere, part of our history.

I'm of a mind to try Boots next time as we don't have a Vision Express nearby.

I admire Mrs Cut Out. I don't think I'd let you near me with a pair of scissors...
