I've had something quite similar to that Riki, during one consultation the audiologist said that I have arthritis in my left ear. He went on to say it was nothing to worry about as it would take about 40 years for the bone to close up. I won't be here then so I'm not worried, however it did make it difficult to have a fitting for my hearing aid. They measured me up and gave me two plug in hearing aids, not the type that go behind the ears. I must admit I don't wear them when I go into town as everything sounds like being in a zoo, driving is the same.

Hi all, I have a kink inside both ears, when they did the moulds for my ears the stuff they make the template front got firmly wedged in my right ear, when the audiologist tried to remove the mould the drawstring snapped and she went into a bit of a panic. That's when the fun started, tools came out and when it was finally removed the vacuum made a very large pop, she then left me in her trap and came back with a doctor, he said I now had a tasty bruise on my inner drum, it was a bit sore for a while and eased up after about a week, sadly the earphones worked but made my one ear really sore again. My replacements from the NHS via Specsavers now hurt both ears and the tulip fittings are really uncomfortable, I have to really press hard to get the aids in and out and out and one ear keeps going off, so now , sorry can't be arsed, it's a good get out now with Mrs cut-out having selective hearing.😁 I don't have moulds. Does that mean that was the only kind of fitting suitable for you Rik? I must say, most of the time, I'm not even aware I am wearing mine (apart from the hearing being top notch)

Morning all: Not budging today, I won't be watching the football tonight. Just seen on tv that someone took a shot at Donald Trump, I believe he's ok though.

Another grey, cold day in paradise. I have plenty of jobs to do today. I am making a huge pot of chicken and vegetable casserole to blitz later . I will then freeze it in single portions. I also have some sewing to do, so that will keep me busy.

Very sad for the family that they've found the remains of a young mans body in Tenerife, very close to where Jay Slater went missing. It looks like he may have fallen down rocks.

Very tragic about the young man. It seems strange that they didn't find him earlier. It's actually a lovely day today, so I am wearing a summer dress. First time this year. We had a lovely long walk today. I put a perm on my hair yesterday - just call me Harpo. It will be lovely in a couple of days.

Same here early on Althea, I put washing out but had to bring it in. It started spitting and the forecast isn't good. I agree that they should have found him earlier, especially as he's been found very close to where he was last seen 29 days ago.

It was aliens. A friend of mine was found dead within a couple of miles of his home about a year ago. Police searched for him pretty thoroughly as did family and friends.

We had a brief spell of sunshine this morning and we took our walk then. It is now dark and going to rain any moment. We had torrential rain all night long. I'm thinking of starting to build an ark.
