We have a forecast of "partly sunny". So far our part is sunny, but there is a lovely gentle breeze which suits me fine. How is this for a coincidence? My two sons live far apart ad work in different fields. They only see each other for family occasions. When we were ay my grandson's wedding recently, they were talking about holidays. Without knowing it, they have both been going to the same small town in Kefalonia for the past few years, at different times. They have even been staying in the same hotel. I call that amazing. That feeds right into the nature/nurture debate ☺️ Love it!

That reminds me, when we retired we did quite a few of the Greek islands. Kephalonia was lovely. The people are so welcoming and respectful of the visitors.

We grumble when it's cold and we grumble when it's hot. I couldn't sleep last night, on top of the duvet but sweat that much even with windows open. I was awake at 1am and didn't really get back off. I was up and about at 4am. It's showing 25c here this afternoon. Trouble with our weather is that you satrt getting used to it then it changes again. So we never actually get used to it at all.

Interesting Althea that the hotel manager hasn't noticed they have the same surname. Or are they different? Though if you are used to Greek script, it wouldn't be that obvious. I'm going round in circles.
After spending ages trying to install my new printer I discovered that the Wifi button was not what I was pressing. It's working now. When the new high capacity toner arrives I shall have the deepjoy if working out how to install it.

Good luck with that Rwth. Getting any computer to notice there's a printer right next to it is nigh on impossible 🤣

When I got up this morning it was raining, but now it's lovely and sunny.
Question: I am now on Statins and am getting the most horrible disturbing dreams. This is not normal for me. They're gruesome. My GP says they will wear off once I've been on the tablets for a while longer. Do any of you get this, does it wear off and is there a brand that is better than others.
Seriously I've never carried out multiple amputations on passers by in Durham Market place with a chain saw and then shredded the bones with a woodchipper, and I don't watch horror films or read that kind of book. These dreams are dreadful and I remember them all day. They're waking me up almost every night.

Hild, dreams are a way of getting your attention. They tend to be over dramatic for that reason. It's probably the general election on your mind. If you have a shredder, using it on election communications after glancing through them fleetingly or just putting them in the recycling or the compost heap will take their weight off your mind. If you have put your poll card and ID handy for the big day and decided which candidate seems the best may soften the force of your dreams.

I'm on simvastatin and my wife is on atorvastin, I take mine at night and mrs-cut out takes her weaker one in the morning. P.S.Don't get caught carrying that machete.👹

Hild, my doctors tried me on Statins, but they don't suit everyone (especially me.) If you start to feel that your muscles are tired, particularly your thigh muscles, stop taking them straight away and tell your doctor. There are different ones and another type may suit you. I have had all sorts of drugs to try to keep my cholesterol down, including Bempedoic acid - terrible stuff. You have to have blood tests before you start it, then every three months. After three months I got a phone call to say, don't take any more of it. I suffer with Lichen Planus as a direct result of being put on Statins.
I am getting a little dog. Not the one I went for originally, who was already spoken for. It's funny how it has worked out, because the dog I am getting is a tan and white JRT. I had one years ago and Leo, the new one looks very like him. He is an oldie but still very lively. I have passed the checks and will meet him on Friday. I am very excited.

I've been on Atorvastatin for years and no side effects, it has brought my cholesterol down by a lot. I started on a small dose then my doctor doubled it after three months and told me to eat normally within reason. I've kept the weight off and my cholesterol is fine.
