Morning all: I was hoping to be well enough to nip to Tesco this morning but still too weak. The daughter will have to take my wife and get whatever we need.
A tad milder this morning, well at least there's no frost.

I Had a telephone interview with the GP earlier. He's given me antibiotics and another inhaler. He said the result of my test and examination reveals a mild form of Bronchial Pneumonia. Just rest with plenty of fluids and if it doesn't improve withing 7 days to get back in touch with him. No wonder I've been gasping for breath and feeling shattered all the time. # Wish you a quick recovery Ron.

Hi all, all is not well here, even though the leg strap for my catheter makes me more mobile I can hardly walk at all now and going up my thirteen step staircase is becoming a very sore experience. I completed a request at my doctor's yesterday for some anti gripe tablets and the practice couldn't even acknowledge the entry form after I waited several hours, I then phoned the doctor's close to 3 pm the robot said the practice was now closed.

Sorry to hear that, Ron. I hope it clears up quickly. Went for a stroll by the Thames this afternoon, but not along the towpath - I'd have needed waders for that. All that west country water has found its way here. You may just be able to make out the river behind the trees that are reflected in the floodwater. One of your arty farty photos? Excellent..a beautiful study of the reflection of trees in water... 10/10 👍

Is that because of soreness with the catheter.. or something else? Such discomfort. GP access - a complete joke. No wonder people resort to rocking up to A&E. Hope you get some help today.

Better news today maris, I had a long wait on the phone but got a result, after waiting a few minutes the receptionist said my meds where now at my local pharmacy, she the apologised for not notifying me yesterday .

Sorry to hear this, Ron. I know I shouldn't try to give a nurse medical advice, but you really must rest. It is a serious condition. Keep your chest warm too. I am on pins, I'm taking Leo to the groomer's to have his nails clipped and his anal glands emptied. He needs both, but I've no idea how he will react. My last Jack Russell had to go to the vets for nail clipping and have a sedative injection before and then another injection to bring him round. It's just nerves with them. Since Leo will pick up on my mood, I am being jolly and relaxed (as much as I can) to him. It's going to start raining any minute and that won't help, if we arrive all sodden. BTW, hildie, I've made a note of crumble cake and it will be in my repertoire from now on. Great idea.

That's good. What's this med for then? I guess the bowel problem was caused by the prostate bladder interference. And the prostate shrinking tablets - my dad and my uncle both had those. I think they were hormones - I recall strict leaflet instructions that women should not touch them..🙄 Update us whenever...

Fragrance: I purchased the Jungle Hildie. What a fabulous bottle 😍😍😍 Tried it - cor an enormous hit of cloves! I really like it. Isn't it lush. Like being in a Christmas bakery or as one of my daughters said a Tudor clothes shop! The bottle is something else, but not that easy to get anymore. I do hope everyone's health improves quickly. Ron take it very easy and Riki keep pestering.
