I watched this...the sound quality was appalling. Quite common, I find, with BBC dramas.

I don't know why the BBC insist on mumbling in their dramas these days. That's not how people talk. Very poor indeed.
Another I won't be watching again.

I am loving Taboo,though if I had known how dark it would be,I never would have started watching it.
I have to watch some of it from behind a cushion.
I am looking forward to it each Saturday. It's the last episode this week,I think.
I have no idea how it will end,but I can't see it being a happy ever after for James Delaney.
It has been difficult to watch in parts,but it is edge of the seat stuff.
And Tom Hardy,well......phwoar!

So did I,maris.  He is a hunk and I like his voice.I have a thing about voices.I love a deep manly voice. I am so excited about tonight's episode,wondering how it will end. I read in the TV paper that there might be two more series to come. That means that James survives for now anyway. |

Well Althea... I don't know about you, I found that an exciting, but most unsatisfactory ending. Strange got his comeuppance though... (Pryce outstanding)
However, no mysteries solved about his father, his mother, or being in Africa. He didn't take Brace 😞 and to top it all, they're not even headed for Nootka!
Another series you say? If we have to wait two years, I suspect we won't even care.

It was edge of the seat stuff right to the end and I thought James not taking Brace was heartless.
But we knew he was single minded and ruthless didn't we?
I thought the end of Strange was a lovely touch. Jonathon Pryce was a wonderful villain.
I don't know if I would watch another series myself.I feel the original is always the best and further series may not be so good.

I watched it because my OH found the first series interesting. I wasn't too keen myself,but found it both interesting and entertaining.
I think this set of "celebrities" are a good bunch,although I do find Miriam Stoppard rather frightening to look at.
She is 79(ish) I think, but her face looks like an unlined mask.It gives her an unreal look.
I know she is an intelligent woman, I can't imagine that she thinks she looks wonderful with an unnatural face.
