New one coming up this Saturday with Tom Hardy - Taboo. I guarantee it won't be cosy!
I will be mesmerized.

I was disappointed in the first episode of Sherlock. Too much whispering and mumbling. But this week was a terrific episode. Looks like being a fantastic series again.

I watched Taboo and found it a bit difficult to follow,it's obviously setting up the story. I will watch it next week as I am intrigued by the plot, then again, there's also Tom Hardy. I asked my youngest daughter if she had watched it.She had and said,"Tom Hardy all filthy and a grey horse all pristine?" That seemed to be the only thing that bothered her. I think there is far too much mumbling in dramas these days.I agree about Sherlock, rondetto. It may be just me,but I'm sure the sound quality used to be much better in TV programmes.

Yes, my point to people is that in real life we don't whisper and mumble. WE talk normally. Why the BBC have been doing this in several series of late I can't fathom.

Loving Taboo...despite occasional daftness, there's enough mystery and intrigue to hook me for next week. Plus Tom Hardy, looking hot...
Was it a man or a woman who attacked him? Maybe it was the Malay that the girl spoke of...
Had sub titles on this week 😄 despite less mumbling!

I am glad Endeavour is back on, quite like it and you can dip in and out because it's a different story every week.

I do like Endeavour, but my OH has trouble following it,so I am recording the series to watch while he is napping. I think it's significant that none of us could see clearly who stabbed Ben in Taboo. As I have had a little moan about the sound quality,I feel I may as well also say, that the darkness makes viewing difficult.I thought it looked like his sister had stabbed him,but realised it was a man dressed as a woman.

Call the midwife starts again tonight. Brilliant drama. I enjoyed the special over Christmas too. Now I would've said that was one for the ladies. It's got a big enough following though and this is series 6!! Speaks for itself. Me, I'll be watching the one after - Apple tree yard...looks gripping.

My OH was not in the least titillated and stayed looking at sport on the iPad throughout, hardly glancing up. He said "boring - drama made for women" I liked it.

I thought Apple tree yard very poor. A short story stretched out over 4 hourly episodes. Stared too slow and once again the BBC have succumbed to whispering. I'm sure the viewing figures will be high for the first episode because of the hype but my guess is that it will taper off now.
