The French ban on Burkas has certainly stopped Islamic terrorism there.

I think the French are still reeling from all the terrible terrorism they have suffered this year. I don't think they used to be so strict. It is true that integration goes two ways.Would integration include taking on the dress code of the country you are in? If I went to Saudi I would cover up and follow their customs.

The liberal West has allowed and encouraged all comers to live here and wear what they like Sadly this has been taken advantage of and has gone too far, hence the rise in popularity of people like Trump. The pendulum needs to swing the other way

Never give in to the right: they're never satisfied.
Also, we can't call ourselves a free society if we have arbitrary rules on what people can and can't wear: one kind of head covering is not ok, but the rest of them are. That's not rational.

"Traditions such as Christmas celebrations will die out unless people stand up for British values, government review finds£ www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/09/10/traditions-such-as-christmas-celebrations-will-die-out-unless-pe/PC fanatics will demand that Mary wears a burkha, and the angels wear burkinis for the traditional nativity play. Jesus of course being born in the Calais migrant camp Our way of life and traditions are under threat and it will soon be too late to stop the rot. We are supposedly a Christian country yet who does the BBC appoint as head of religious affairs, a Muslim. Songs of Praise is a shadow of it's former self

Someone says this every year, usually (as with the Mail and Express) including made-up examples. It's never true.
Besides, Mary already wears a headscarf to cover her hair (she was Jewish). Angels would not be dressed for the beach in the middle of winter. Our Nativity play (in about 1965) had cabbages in it, to give the kids (like me) who weren't good enough to be one of the stars something to do (yes, I played a cabbage: about as Christmassy as you can get, a cabbage is).
Lots and lots of traditions have died out: bull and bear baiting, for example. Christmas will be ok as long as enough people want it: and even then no one's going to stop you celebrating it how you like - Bond in the afternoon, all that (that was a great English practice as well; criminalising the cerebration of Christmas, and that was done by Christians). It's not that traditional, though: it was pretty much invented by Dickens, 150 years ago. It wasn't that much of a thing before then.

Good for the "right", at least somebody is prepared to defend our traditional values Notably the right's views are on the increase, in France, UK, and USA. Sensible people are sick and tired of pandering to the left's liberal policies which by their very nature have led to increasing support for the right The left are always pushing "rights" but never responsibilities
