Hi all, O2 states that my fiver a month 2 g phones will be supported until 2030, well...4 days ago they sent me a message stating that my SIM card would soon be unsupported and that I could apply for a free replacement SIM, as I have been on the same number for nearly 20 years I had no choice but to apply for the upgraded SIM, that led to a right palaver and nearly four hours (over two days) of phone calls, even when I received the new Sims they still had to be called again to activate the Sims, then they asked again ridiculously harder questions than MI5, I'm glad now that I am the only brain doner survivor in the world.

When I updated my phone earlier in the year, I had to put a new sim in it but getting my number back was a bit of a problem. I took it to the 02 shop and got them to do the hard work.

Morning all: Quite chilly start to the day though not as frosty as yesterday. I'm not up late enough to see the Northern lights though our friends have seen them locally.

A day or two ago Saturday was forecast to be sunny, but it's actually quite cloudy, with a bit of blue sky, and they're now forecasting rain. Who knows?
Yesterday was sunny. Mrs Tickle and I went for a mammoth walk around, by, through or past - a woodland lake, a golf course, a plantation, cattle pasture, some posh school grounds, a PYO farm (with lots of raspberries), a riding establishment and several very expensive-looking houses. We knew of the lake, which is 8 or 9 miles away and has free parking so was our starting point, but most of the rest was unexplored territory. We were so knackered by the end of that, we had to stop for refreshment at The White Horse. I even suggested to Mrs T that we have dinner there and avoid having to cook in our weakened state, but she reckoned it was too early. Saved us about 30 quid I guess, but we then stopped at Lidl on our way home and spent most of the saving on chocolate on mince pies - and mushy peas!
I'm beginning to think Mrs T is having an affair. I did the driving yesterday and on the way home she kept calling out some bloke's name - a bit foreign-sounding, it was.

Our Flu jab was due at 13.52 today, anyway about 11.30 we both had a text to say the surgery was running early and If we could make it before noon we could have it now as they close for lunch at 1pm.
So it was a mad scramble to get ready and bomb it there, went straight in had the jab and straight out. No waiting at all.

A bright ,cold morning today. I took Leo for a short walk without my boot on. I am limping a bit, but that's probably due to wearing a cast and surgical boot for so long. My foot is a bit swollen and red, but I think it will soon be fine.

They were doing everything in one go at our surgery today. Covid, flu and RSV. My appt was 9am and I was in and out in minutes. My arm is sore now but at least we don't have to go back and forwards.

The older I get, the more I understand why witches from fairy tales moved out to the middle of the woods and put a curse on anyone who disturbed them.

Not all your life decisions have to be smart. Some can be purely for cinematic effect.

I was looking out the window (and waiting by the door) to see if the promised rain would arrive, as I'd hung some washing on the line at about half past midnight in expectation of a sunny morning. In spite of my vigilance, it took me quite a while to realise when it did start raining, as it was almost imperceptible. Fortunately, managed to get the laundry in while it was still more or less dry. Crikey! It looks like obsession with washing is taking hold in me.

We've just had bouncing rain followed by a hailstorm battering the windows.

Morning all: A chilly weekend, won't be going anywhere today. I'm going to do some baking, apple crumbles and apple pies for the freezer.
