I’ve had a Prime subscription for many years but we do watch a lot of films and series on the TV. Currently Amazon gets a bit of a bashing as shopping is very difficult for me. Thank heaven for Ocado for the same reason.

I bought two Jig Saw Advent Calendar Puzzles in the Amazon Prime Day. Every day you open the box and take that day's pieces out. I pass on last year's to one of my daughters. You have to be careful and take a photo of the the jigsaw before you open the box and the jigsaw after so that you more or less put the same pieces back into the box for that date. Well, you only have to do that if you want to use it as an advent calendar again. I find it a really happy thing to do in the dark horrible run up to Christmas. Mind you I won a bottle of Tia Maria in the Harvest Raffle at work, so I may imbibe and jig-saw and the same time. Hmm..do you like it Hild? I don't have Prime - you need to buy everything you need on there in order to justify the subscription, don't you? If I want anything, I put it in the basket until I have a number of items...you have to spend iver 35 quid now to get free shipping. I do quite a bit of ordering for work, but we do check prices on other sites and local shops. My daughter paid for Amazon Prime for my son's Christmas so he can watch films and TV series.

It was a bit dreich early on, but much brighter now so I shall go for a stroll shortly. My cold seems to be clearing up, but it remains to be seen if catarrh will strike.
Three fellas, tree fellers came round this morning and chopped down a lot of vegetation at the bottom of the garden, so it's a bit lighter out the back now. Probably should have left it till next month, but it doesn't seem to have fazed the birds that inhabit the ivy. However, there's a lot less ivy bloom for the insects now.

I have taken his nibs out for a walk in the pouring rain. I didn't dissolve, so it's OK. I didn't really want to go out this morning, but I couldn't resist his hopeful little face and those big brown eyes. I also bought a couple of things in the Amazon sale. They are for my granddaughter, who is suffering with acne at the moment. I hope the things I got her will help. I bought an Alexa in the Amazon sale, for just 22 euros. It's unbelievable , you can ask it any question and it will instantly give you a full answer I tested it first on "Alexa who was Humphrey Bogart married to?" It gave me a list of his four wives including dates. It will play music , tell you the time , contact you with the live news , in any country....etc. I bought an Alexa earlier this year and I am delighted with it. She will even tell you jokes!

Lovely, bright, cold morning today. I went out with Leo, then popped to the shops. I bought a box of scones and I can't believe that I am too lazy to make a few scones. My husband will be turning in his grave. He loved scones and I made them every week for him. Whether I will be able to eat them, is another thing. I will smother one with plant butter and see if I can get it down.

Covid on the rise again so they say. It is now the Flu season of course. It's not compulsory but the NHS advise to is self isolate for 5 days If you test positive for Covid. I can't see any more lock downs but there's the possibility of wearing face masks again.

Well our H&S Manager has advised staff not to test, or at least not to say if you have it, because you're still supposed to isolate in social care if you have it, but if you don't know, you don't have to.
So there you go, this is what is happening in real time in the workplace

It's 38 years ago today that Mrs T and I moved into Tickle Towers.
Tomorrow it will be 25 years since my mother died. I think her last words to me were, "Have a Guinness for me" although it may be that my last words to her were, "I'll have a Guinness for you". It was one or the other.

Morning all: A frosty start to the day, but it should be dry anyway, I'm hoping to put washing on the line later.

It was 4 degrees when I got up at 8 o'clock this morning. It's sunny and bright and up to 11 degrees now. No sign of rain. My cousin who lives in Berlin is 80 years old and usually in good health, but on Wednesday evening she fell and knocked herself about. She had to stay in hospital overnight and has stitches in her forehead and chin, as well as bruises and swelling. I mention this because her son is getting married today and somehow she has got ready and gone to the wedding. She was on her way to meet one of her friends. They were going for a Chinese meal, when she must have blacked out because she can't remember what happened. Us ladies of a certain age are made of sterner stuff.
