Hope everything is OK with Ron, he's late this morning. He'd better bring a note......

Morning all: I am here, I posted at 4.30am this morning but perhaps I didn't enter. It is a dismal cold day, not going out at all today. I've got strawberries for dessert but they are coming to an end now, the local ones anyway. Done all the whites this morning and used the tumble dryer, all ironed and put away now.

A bit dull here, but otherwise fine. Not cold and I am sitting outside having a coffee. Not feeling it today. Some blood tests have gone a bit wonky and need to be repeated tomorrow.
They weren't the ones that normally go wrong either.
Still we got a draw against Leeds!

Hello. I finished reading my book. Quite late, but I really didn't want to put it down. About phoenixes and their humans saving the world with only occasional comfort breaks and more infrequent rest times.
I was about to go and have my shower but remembered just in time to rescue a few clothes and towels from the line. Clad in nightie, jacket and gardening shoes I got there just as it started to rain. They were dry, and only just a little sprinkled. My shower was lovely and hot and I'm feeling much better for a good scrub and anointing.
I'm leading evensong in a couple of hours so finding something to say in the sermon spot will be interesting. The hymns are easy and all begin with the letter A. Quite fortuitous, but accidental.

The rain held off until around 3 o'clock, so Mrs Tickle and I were able to do a couple of hours litter picking. Got back to the sight of a rat helping itself to the bird food - they are acrobatic little things, aren't they?
I'm not sure the current precipitation could properly be described as rain - it's somewhere between a mizzle and Scotch mist, but still rather dreich nonetheless.

Look how many ran into parliament in July?

Nice morning so far but there must have been a lot of rain in the night.

Quite pleasant here at the moment, but there has been rain - the water butt is full - and showers are forecast, with more persistent rain tonight.

It's been beautiful here on the North Wales Cheshire border. I went out to vacuum the inside of the car in blazing sunshine and quite warm too.

It has been quite pleasant here for most of the morning, but just as I was about to go out for a walk it started hissing down. More or less stopped now and the sun is shining again - there was a very tepid rainbow. I think it will have stopped completely by the time I get my shoes on, so I'll risk it.

I had a lovely morning in Mold today. Sunny and mild - it was such a pleasure to be out. I did quite a bit of walking (with boot) and everything was fine, so now I'm hoping that maybe by next weekend, I won't need the boot any more.

Hi althea, a few steps more each day, with a bit of luck it's on the mend. (It's still wet here, btw.)

I had to go to a meeting in Cullompton most of the day. It was mostly sunny and bright. I heard Verdi's Forzi al Destino, and realised that was the music used in the film Jean de Florette. I had heard it before but missed the introduction and credits for it so didn't know what I had heard. Lovely discovery.
Once I was home and after dark I heard the rain outside which is where I prefer it to be,
