A slightly baffling day. Mrs Tickle went to the gym this morning and gave me to understand that she'd be going straight from there to a neighbouring small town with her friend, who'd be picking her up from the gym. I was therefore quite surprised when she returned home at about 10:30. Her friend picked her up from Tickle Towers about half-an-hour later and off they went. I was under the impression that she would then get the bus from smalltown to bigtown, where I was to meet her. However, when I got on the bus across the road from our house - and I only caught it by the skin of my teeth - Mrs Tickle suddenly appeared behind me, as if from nowhere.
After mooching round a few furniture and homeware shops, where the only thing we bought was a birthday card, we went to Decathlon and spent a small fortune on 3 pairs of shoes/boots and some gym kit. Mrs Tickle felt faint after that - whether from the size of the bill or lack of nutrition, I'm not sure - so we dived into Maccie D's for coffee and chips fries. The coffee there didn't seem as good as it used to be, perhaps because they concentrate on the fancy stuff nowadays. Thus fortified, we walked (most of the way) home via the university campus and our local nature reserve.

Gorgeous here at the moment, hardly a cloud in the sky. There's a lovely autumnal smell outside and lots of insects on the ivy bloom. Mrs Tickle went for a walk with one of her mates at 7:30 this morning and tells me it was really lovely, with mist rising from the lake. I wasn't even half awake at that time.
I don't share the fascination with washing, but our machine is currently on.
Friday is free swim day so I'll be strolling up to the pool today. Might take the scenic route.

I managed to take his nibs out for a short walk this morning in lovely sunshine.
I hope to be able to pop across to the shops later, but my foot is starting to ache badly.
I was hoping to be able to remove the boot sometime this week, maybe next week will be better.
Just call me Hopalong.

HI Hoppy. You are doing ok and soon you'll be able to wear your new Skechers, that's when you'll really feel better.
Dried the trousers and jeans out on the line this morning, all ironed and put away now. I doubt we'll have many more days like this now.

Morning all: Another mild start to the day, got my usual M&S shop to do this morning. They say we will be having the tail end of hurricane Kirk in the middle of next week.

A lovely morning here. My foot is much better today. Hoping to go to Mold on Monday, weather permitting.
I hope I can go in my trainers. fingers crossed.

Same here: rain forecast but none at the moment, although it looks as if there has been a bit of drizzle earlier/overnight. Should I go litter picking?

We have had thunder and fierce winds, along with the ever present heavy rain, this morning.
I had my boot off for an hour this morning and my foot feels alright. I will wear my boot tomorrow to go to Mold as there is a bit of walking involved.
It has actually stopped raining and Nigel has taken Leo for a quick walk before it starts again.
