I've washed jeans and trousers today and with the wind they've dried quickly. I've noticed a lot of spiders webs on the line, more than usual at this time of year. Had to wipe the line down first.

Hi all, I had some good news today, my hospital consultant phoned me and told me the result of CT scan of my lungs, he said he was surprised as the results said that there was no change in amount of fluid in my lungs and that the amount of lung damage was still only 12% as it was in 2021 which then was described as only moderate, which means the Ninetedanib medication is putting me in the 67% gruope not the 33% gruope which the medication didn't work for. He also explained my MRI back scan showed a little bit of arthritis and didn't need any surgery, maybe I can have a few jabs in it now? I feel like a lead weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

On Monday I had an X-ray on my back (I’ve already had an MRI) and a consultation with the consultant and I am now on his NHS - there is no way I could afford to have it done privately. Rods and screws were mentioned 😳. Still whatever it takes, walking round the shops is but a dream atm.

Oh dear Toots, my wife has Osteoporosis and the consultant said he can't operate on her. He's suggested monthly injections as a trial. Damned if you do and damned if you don't sort of prognosis.

So pleased to hear your news,Rikii. I hope you keep as you are for a long , long time.
So sorry to hear your news, Toots. Good luck with your treatment. my youngest daughter has titanium rods in her leg( she was an amateur show jumper) and she has been fine with them.
I was a bit upset when the orthopaedic consultant told my daughter , it was too risky to operate on my foot. My daughter had realised that things were really bad when the doctor asked me so many questions about my health. I am improving little by little and now the foot pain has eased I can feel many other little pains where I knocked myself about. I didn't notice them when the foot pain was so bad.

Morning all: Milder this morning. Well, I went to Home bargains yesterday and all middle aisles was packed with Xmas stuff already. Now I am beginning to think you are deliberately trying to depress me Ron 🤣

My hope is that you won't have to wait an age...have they given you a time frame?

You must've done quite some damage there. What pain killers can you take for it?

Central heating is on here now. It's quite chilly indoors today, nothing like August should be at all.

I have codeine, maris, and am prescribed huge amounts of it. I don't take much, then only in extremis. My children go mad, wanting me to take plenty. They don't understand how addictive it can be if used unwisely. I am just hoping that there is some bone in my foot that is strong enough to knit, but the gap of the fracture is very wide. I don't know what they can do about crumbly bones - not a lot I suspect. I will wait and see what happens when I go back to the hospital in September.
