Oh Althea you've been through it. I do hope everything goes well and the next scan is more positive.
Poor you xxx

A friend has discovered similar symptoms with her car showing a warning light and noise. Apparently, a speed limiter had been switched on at 20 mph and since most drivers go faster than that, the Roomster manual gave instructions on how to change the speed for this up to a maximum of 75 mph. Seemingly this manufacturer has a limiter on all their cars, but it could be newer cars because my 2019 Skoda Octavia doesn't.
My cleaners came today, so I had to tidy up first. The carpet washer sitting in front of the washing machine doesn't prevent me using it, but it is causing me to twist a bit and do my back in, so after I have washed the carpet again, it will have to go. After they had gone, I went back to bed and slept until 6 pm, so I must have been very tired. I'll have to do my viola practice in preparation for tomorrow's rehearsal. We have played everything before, so it shouldn't be a huge problem.

Morning all: Another muggy night, a quite mild start to the day but rain on the way they say.

I just want to put it all behind me now. It's not easy hobbling around, but it's not as painful as it was. It could have been so much worse. If I had broken my hip for example, I would have never been able to walk again. I know I am a fortunate woman and I have been surprised and delighted by the kindness I have received all along. I know the Maelor hospital has had some bad press recently, but my treatment was absolutely top class by everyone.

Thanks for such a detailed debrief Althea. The accident sounds disastrous and getting you in for treatment, equally distressing. However, I'm glad you found it good once you were in there. It's a b*gger that healing takes us so much longer BUT we get there. Hope you do, soon πππ

Morning all: A tad cooler yet again this morning, it feels like early autumn. They've forecast a nice weekend, got plenty of washing to do today.

As I noticed, you haven't had summer while we've had enough of the hot weather! Three months of temperatures above 35. Today will be 40C.

You have to stay inside! Hope it cools down soon

Trouble here in the UK is that we don't have hot weather for long enough to get used to it, we have a few hot days the it changes again. It was chilly early on but lovely now. I've got the line full of washing and all the towels in the machine now.

I decided to give a fullish account to get it out of the way, maris, rather than talk about it for several days.

Yesterday, Bob was going to fill his car up so I said "Oh good, you can take the shopping list and go into the supermarket" He did - but came back with with πlooking tomatoes and a chicken that turned out to be tough as old boots. But the toilet rolls and muesli were fine. However, at least I didn't have to go. I am completely 'off' shopping (all kinds) these days. I went to our local department store to meet a friend for coffee; walking through there, I thought "I don't want any of this stuff"
I sort of envy Ron. He actually enjoys it π

Yep, I do all our shopping. I love my morning Latte too, it's my morning routine to meet friends and have a natter over a nice hot coffee.

I was in one today near the seafront. Lovely coffee. I bought some blackcurrant licorice cakes and a rollmop for tea. It is next to a great wool/craft shop and lovely independent dress/accessories/interiors shop. I used the bus pass for the trip because it's such a popular row of shops parking can be tricky.

Ooh a rollmop with a slice of crusty bread (or a roll) and butter. Heaven. π€£ When I was a child we used to live near a Jewish deli and along with rollmops, they sold what they called Dutch Herrings straight from barrels, which they prepared themselves. Cor, they were wonderful.
