Hi all, as a 17 mph wind is forecast I was putting more rings on my broadbean plants some of which now have medium sized beans on. I stepped backwards and foolishly fell flat on my arse all because I didn't ask mrs cut-out for assistance, the Ohh dear I got a right beasting, my ears are still ringing.

I mostly use Whatsapp these days. Sometimes I look at FB, just to see what my children are up to. It is possible to be in regular touch with everyone , but I, for one ,don't like being available 24/7. I'm not up to naughty things, I just like a bit of peace and quiet. If my children ring me and I'm not here to answer, I then get a later call. They are quite cross and say, "I called you at 2 o'clock and you WEREN'T IN!" in an accusatory tone. It makes me laugh.

We have the same with our daughters Althea, they seem to think we are here 24/7 and If we're not in it's "Where have you been?"

Morning all: I'm NOT putting any news on today. Fed up of it on the tv and in the newspapers.

Looks like you're not too keen on the prospects of a Labour super-majority then, rondetto? Me neither but nothing could be worse than the outgoing bunch of incompetents, surely?

Oops, apologies for straying into politics.

I don't like discussing politics either. It is what it is and whatever the result and whoever is in power we have to live with it.

I agree with that statement, Ron. I also agree with Scally's statement. Less said the better about the whole lot of them. Well, I've had Leo a week and it hasn't been as difficult as I thought it might be. He is coming along very well. Lazy days are becoming a distant memory. Today, my friend told me I looked well, better than last time she saw me, so I think my little doggy friend is doing me good.

Been out for a long walk (in the rain). Now his nibs is flat out in his bed while I am on the comp. It's a dog's life. I am listening to Shift, the latest in a series by Hugh Howey. (Wool and Silo.)It's an epic creation of a dystopian future. He has an amazing imagination and also a shrewd insight into human nature.

What a weird day, we've had torrential rain, then dry and sunny, then a terrible hail storm. Whatever next, maybe snow?

Morning all: Nothing much doing today, hopefully just an idle day apart from making meals etc.

I managed to gallop out last night and rescued the washing from another soaking, forecast after heavy rain the night before. It was mostly dry and sunny with a fresh wind all day.
I never watch the news or listen to it if I can avoid doing so. I fillet out actual happenings from opinions from the BBC website. I don't read Grauniad stories because of the paywall.
