Thanks dear. It wasn't very good news but hey ho we're still here.
We are shattered, up at 4am and threw a lot of stuff out of the freezer and put a few things in a cool bag, New fridge freezer coming today. Also I've ordered a new washing machine coming today too. A shame to throw good stuff away but it won't keep. Will have to stock up tomorrow.

Did they tell you to defrost the freezer. When I got my freezer from Euronics they said they'd phone a couple of hours in advance or after 6pm the night before and I could just switch it off before they got there and empty it about an hour before.
Euronics are local companies though so perhaps the can be more flexible.

We bought this freezer and washer from AO. We defrosted it last night. Losing a few things that we'll have to stock up on tomorrow. They've been and gone now, I must say everything went smoothly, only trouble is these new washing machines are all digital and are confusing at first.

It is a beautiful day here today. I went to Mold to get my phone security screen replaced. It only cost £5.00. I was delighted it was so cheap to replace. I have bought some Dove stuff to give me a bit of a glow/ light tan. I hope it works, I have been told I look very pale. Maybe I will look more lively with a glow. My gardener managed to tidy my front garden yesterday, so I am a happy bunny.

Morning all: That's the longest day over, clocks start going the other way now. Just spent £50 in Tesco stocking up on things I had to throw away from the freezer. WE did keep a few things in a cool bag though.
Let's hope we have another lovely day like yesterday.

Gorgeous day. I walked a couple of miles to the Health Centre to have a blood test and on the way, I approached the Community Hall, all doors and windows open, and I could hear loud music 🎶 No - not Drum n Bass, no. It was a Mrs Mills-type piano rendition of "Fings ain't what they used to be" (quickstep tempo)and there I saw quite a number of couples doing a turn round the floor.
I watched them and the whole thing lifted my heart and spirits - I couldn't get over how apt the tune was....

It is lovely here too. I have trimmed a shrub that was growing over the path to the washing line. I only intended to do a few branches but ended up giving a short back and sides. My hands are aching now, but I feel a huge sense of achievement. My gardener is poorly at the moment, so the garden will have to wait for a good tidy. A few more days like this will do us all good.

Very warm this morning and the sun was dazzling, not so nice just now. It's come over cloudy, I guess by tea time it will be sunny and hot again, that's how it's been on most days.

I have just changed my mobile phone provider. I was paying loads with EE (SIM only) over £11 pm then I saw this deal on Martin Lewis website with Lebara...5g data, unlimited texts and calls with free roaming - £1.59pm for three months and £4.59 thereafter. The young chap said they couldn't match that - and then he told me he was with Vodafone - not even EE !! He said he might swap hearing about that deal 😁
I don't know why we tend to just stick and pay through the nose. It's daft.

Funny about mobile phone providers, I'm with EE and never had a problem home or when abroad. Yet I've got friends who have been with Vodaphone and they lose connection when they are a few miles from home. Most of them have switched over to EE now though. I know a few who have their phone contract with Tesco and they have problems with connections too. I guess it's trial and error depending on where you live.

Morning all: A tad darker this morning, but the forecast is for a warm and sunny weekend. Off to M&S for the weekly shop then into town for a few things.

You're correct Ron about signal strength being dependent on where you live. My son lives in a very rural area with very intermittent signal no matter who you're with. EE has good coverage but I was paying way over the odds with them for SIM only. Lebara is a Which? recommended provider and uses Vodafone's network, with good coverage round here. I'm glad I switched.

I recently switched my energy provider. It is nerve racking doing it, but I was with Shell (very happily) until they sold out to Octopus. Not happy with Octopus ,so I have switched to British Gas, which is doing well at the moment.
It is a gorgeous day here and I have been to Mold with my friend. Town was busy, but many were wearing masks and I hear several people I know have got covid. It seems to be rearing it's ugly head again.

I wasn't going to mention it really, but I have applied for a little dog from the local rescue. A scruffy little Shih Tzu called Rosie. She is old and her owner has died. I hope I get her, but I've been here before...............
