I am not a Christian, but I think this Pope is a good man.He has done away with certain expensive fol-de-rols and is humble in his attitudes.

It has been a very grey day here too,but for me it is a good day. I am feeling better than I have for a few days and I have managed to do many little jobs that needed doing. I also made a large pot of soup and have frozen several portions, ready for use in the future.

A Woman Hitting a Neo-Nazi With Her Handbag, taken in Växjö, Sweden on 13 April 1985 by Hans Runesson. The woman in the photograph is Danuta Danielsson (1947–1988). Not much is known of her as Danielsson did not want to come out in public and speak to journalists. She was of Polish origin and her mother had been in a German concentration camp during World War II. She was no age, really.

I am being shocked and surprised almost every day at how much prices are going up in our supermarkets. It'p s not just by 1p either, many things are shooting up by 30 or 40p.

Morning: Shocking news today...... A pasty containing a controversial filling has scooped the top prize at the World Pasty Championships. The award-winning pastry in the ‘Open Savoury Company’ category contained barbecue pulled chicken with sweet potato, courgette, red pepper, sweetcorn and - wait for it - pineapple. Is nothing sacred
