I am afraid I am a fan of the best dancer winning. Not the most entertaining clodhopper or the most emotional etc. Edd did try very hard, but he would never make a dancer. I think it is hard for Claudia because she looks like a young girl,I don't think the judges appraise her fairly. I'm sure if she was taller they would rate her more highly. There now,I've had my sixpennorth. I'm sure we all have different views of the show and it would be a dull world if we all liked the same thing. Danny to win it on his skill,is my hope.

Not surprised Ore was in the dance off, such a gentle tune and soft slow dance that it was hard to remember it amongst all the other the razzamatazz and high jinks, especially with those fluffy flower things floating about the stage all the time. He does get harshly marked sometimes. Who comes up with these themes, I know it's a perennial question but really , Willy Wonka is hardly a romantic film and the purple and green suit combination was vile. I thought Louise was good but it was a lot of stomping and stamping and not much dancing, she did the stomping and stamping well though but over marked for me. Claudia was good but over marked because of the mistakes. I know the judges said it wasn't her fault but they have marked others down in the past for similar incidents and told off the professional telling them it was too ambitious etc. Danny was good but not my favourite routine of his. Sad to see Judge Rinder go but he did very well. Now if I was a conspiracy theorist I would say they were determined to let the women go through to the next round - only saying of course! All in all Musicals Week in terms of the celebs was a bit of a let down, why couldn't they get the tunes the professionals had???
On another separate note, not so long ago at my youngest school they put on Calamity Jane. They did it quite well. On the second night her father and stepmother attended (stepmother is from Florida). On being asked by the music teacher what they thought of the show, American Stepmother said very loudly "That show is just one scalp short of a shut down!" and proceeded to point out that in the US no school would ever put on this show because of the script relating to First Americans and the joy the American characters have in describing how they killed them. Put's it all in another light doesn't it.

A worthy winner. I honestly expected to be voting for Danny (given his ability and previous dances) but on the night Ore was the best. He got my vote.

I was rooting for Ore, though in truth any one of them could have won. They were all so good this year. On the night,Ore was the best. (If Gus were here,we could tell him the show isn't racist.)

I do wish they would use proper dancing music rather than modern pop songs The tango is never the same without the good old "Marks and Spencer" Loved the black girl in white in tonight's opening sequence, very very pretty

Yes agree Bryan. Oti Mabuse. She's absolutely lovely and imo, one of the best professional dancers. I never knew Debbie McGee was a trained ballet (Royal Ballet, no less!) Mind you, that was forty years ago... It was a bit long though, wasn't it? Not sure about the new judge. I wanted Anton - he would've kept the much needed humour.

I do wonder why they always have a grossly overweight celeb, then strap them in tight outfits where you can see the fat rolling around

That particular outfit was very unforgiving. I could've told her that stretchy, clingy fabrics are a no-no 😁 And these large ladies always look a bit unstable to me as their feet appear very small (in comparison) It's one of those look - but you'd rather not - situations. Funny, we have only had large ladies - not men.
