I can see the Liberal Democrats being given a chance.

Notice Leadsom now apologising to May for the 'children' comment...so she did say it then! She now stands a snowball's chance.... So we will have May (a Remainian) in place of Cameron (a Remainian) - what was the point? I see Leadsom described as "Heartless" and "Ruthless" She should withdraw, and crawl back under the stone

I don't agree with either of those adjectives! But she should crawl under the stone for being a lightweight...and to be honest a bit naive for not watching her words when in front of a journalist! Is she someone who you can trust to run the country...?

I can see the Liberal Democrats being given a chance. SaveI did give them a chance...twice actually. Not sure that I would do it again Goldelox.... I might be the only one not wanting a general election in October!

Who's in charge? Theresa!
Leadsom stepping down and May saying "The UK is leaving the EU - time to move forward" Positive words at last. I am very pleased.

May says "We are going to make a success of it!" If she carries on talking like that Goldelox, I might even be voting Tory 😁

All of the points Leadsom made in her withdrawal speech could have been made when the result of the Leadership election were revealed But put simply she knew she did not have enough support, this withdrawal gives her the chance of a seat in Theresa's government

You think that Theresa will get this through the House of Commons, given that the majority of MPs are Remainers and the consequences of Brexit are becoming clear. As posted elsewhere the referendum result is not legally binding

A group of overpaid lawyers acting for the group who have been roaming the streets stirring up trouble and hatred? Most leading politicians with the exception of Comrade Corbyn, who I don't regard as a leading politician have said, a vote is a vote, and it will stand. I dislike George Galloway with a passion but one thing he said on Question time (probably not original) was 'if you pay lawyers enough money they will come up with the answer you want'

BTW I do know the old saying "What do you call a thousand lawyers at the bottom of the sea"? Not enough

To be honest, if the vote is overturned, i will never have any confidence in British politics.
I didn't vote for this Tory government...but I accept they won (under our present system)
I didn't vote leave..but I accept the referendum result.
Surely what we have the right to expect, is that those carrying out the responsibility they are charged with, will do so positively and with resolve.
I'm not trying to be virtuous here...just wanting to move forward now.

Who will be sitting around Theresa's cabinet table. She was talking this morning in Birmingham about a change in financial direction so it looks as if George Osborne will not be her Chancellor
