Why don't people think things through!
Q: Why did the majority vote to leave?
A: Because of the freedom of movement overpowering our tiny island. (or so the Leavers say)
Q: Shall we get shot of the foreigners on UK soil.
A: That would reduce the numbers and UK folk could get houses and jobs.
Q: Who are the biggest migrant nation, by far in Europe.
A: The Brits.
Q: If we send Johnny foreigner packing, what will we do with the millions of displaced Brits. who'll be sent home.
A: On a postcard please!

Yes...funny that its May and Hammond who are casting doubt on the future of EU citizens here. Remainers both.
Leadsom, Gove...and Farage this morning...all saying, they are here legally and legitimately and absolutely should have the right to stay. Ah yes, these are the xenophobic racists...

Indeed but none of the 'xenophobic racists' are likely to be in the position to follow their words with actions.

Well two of those haven't been eliminated yet, and I would not like to speculate on the feelings of Tory party members in the field. Mind you, if Anna Soubry and Michael Heseltine shout loud enough, they will dispense with that part of the democratic process...perish the thought that the 'wrong' one is elected..plus if it's done and dusted they can all go on holiday

As expected Theresa May topped the poll and is way out in front, the others are pretty similar except for Liam Fox who drops out If a male PM is addressed as "Sir" what is a female one addressed as, "Maam" or "Miss"

Can't remember... May well in the lead as the candidate most likely to call a second referendum/not invoke article 50. Fox and Crabbe supporting her too: "Gissajob!" But hey, EU may be having a rethink...in that case May could be a good negotiator.

Does anyone think that perhaps Theresa May actually voted Leave? Hmmmm... I think she has played a crafty game, and not revealed her hand I'm sure she indicated that Remain was better for our economy but she hates the ECHR which stops us deporting criminal immigrants for spurious reasons

Well it's Leadsom v. May - not a fan of either except Leadsom says some daft things so hopefully not her...it's like listening to a nice neighbour - you sometimes find yourself (mentally) rolling your eyes.

Leadsom does not like gay marriage, will restore fox hunting, and will sort Putin out. Shudder I wouldn't be surprised if the Tory shires vote for her. I remember when they found out that their candidate in the Falmouth general election, a barrister, was gay. They disowned him but John Major insisted on him being the candidate. Local paper published a pic of these grim faced people who all looked as if they had been to the Tebbit charm school

(or so the Leavers say) Except that this is not why all of us voted to leave, and I have so far seen no proof that it's why the majority voted to leave, either. Please stop asserting this as fact, when it's basically supposition.

Surely not! She's come out of nowhere, and before the debates, I'd never heard of her. I think that the silver rinses (of which I am not one 😁) will say to each other "we want a safe pair oif hands"...TM I wonder if anyone on here is a member and has a vote?

Leadsom is denying that she said being a mother would make her a better leader/pm She says things like that all the time... She said "I'm a mother and a grandmother" more times than she said "Take control..."in the TV debates.
Also, I doubt that it's the case anyway. An male obstetrician has never given birth, but I bet he knows exactly what he's doing!
Both remain and leave voters both cited care for their children and grandchildren as a reason for their decision.

In typical Farage/Hard Right fashion she now denies that she said it, and has been misquoted. The Times has released a recorded transcript of the interview Previously she had embellished her CV and career record She has become a loose canon, our very own Trump, hopefully if she doesn't withdraw the Tory shires will send her packing
