Jimshoo.
But that is different. That is for a UK citizen continuing to receive child benefit if they go abroad. I thought the specific bone of contention was a person who is not a UK citizen but working here being able to claim child benefit for his children in his country of origin within the EU.

I always thought the royals steered clear of making political statements. It's entirely wrong that he should put his name to one side or the other.

Especially the one you're against,eh? Well every man and his dog seems to voice their opinion on the subject irrespective of whether they have given it any thought so I can't quite see why The Royals should be excluded. Cameron is on a hiding to nothing on this one. He won't get real concessions otherwise I think it is not unreasonable to assume that most other member states would also want concessions which might well be the end of the EU in it's current form. Good thing or bad? I simply don't know.

Especially the one you're against,eh? No, I appreciate there are opposing views. (Just you're wrong and I'm right) Only kidding, it will be very interesting to see which side wins.

Given the power of the Government machine it must be a forgone conclusion that the "Remain" will win Look at the opposition, IDS and Gove are not exactly popular. Grayling - who is he I cannot see actually how they can continue in office but oppose the PM, they should step aside

At the moment it all seems to be one side or the other scaremongering. I really don't know which way I will vote and will wait until I get information which I think I can trust. Farage is inclined to put me off voting 'out' especially when I see who is lined up with him. Gorgeous George Galloway (you have been most unwise) is one person I would hate to be allied with.

Can't disagree about those two. Farage - I just want to upend his pint over his head. As for Galloway - ugh

The pound is already well down on the Euro which is not such good news for me as I buy a lot more in Europe than I sell, so saying it is good for exports is oflittle comfort. The markets hate uncertainty but once it is settled either way no doubt it will all settle down.
What is a bit of a mystery to me is how the hell did we get into this mess in the first place, and why did we allow Brussels so much power over what are really internal matters.
