The master of deflection that he is, no one is talking about his white supremacy, his taxes, his sexual assault cases… Now it’s all sympathy. In two weeks Trump will come out with a cure for the coronavirus in hydroxychloroquine. Re-election saved.
Well played by the master of fake news.

He hasn't got it, it's obviously a ploy to win the election.

He claims to be a god-fearing man. Hang-on surely he's not afraid of himself.

IMO it's a publicity stunt.

IMO it's a publicity stunt. I rather doubt that as a large number of people in the White House have tested positive, including some of the press corps. He is hardly one who is going to show weakness, and that would include getting the infection.
But as seems to be happening he is trying to show that being a 'strong man' he can shake it off in a couple of days. I think this will come back to bite him on his ample bum.

Brain gone Don publicity stunt:
He “wanted to appear frail at first,” people with knowledge of the conversations told the Times. But underneath his dress shirt, Trump would wear a Superman T-shirt, which he would reveal by ripping open the top layer of his clothing. He ultimately opted not to go ahead with the stunt. It wasn’t immediately clear why.

It's got to the stage where we can't believe anything he says or does. His intellect is so minute, he can't see that he has made himself a figure of fun. He thinks he is smart.

The problem is, he genuinely believes in his own bullshit because for years people have been to cowed by him to dare to criticise.
If he said he was sending space craft to the moon to mine for cheese no-one would dare laugh. It is actually a very frightening situation.

Same problem: narcissistic leaders who both want supreme power; the only real difference between Trump and Kim is that Trump doesn't have that power yet but has a sizeable following here and in the US that would be happy to give it to him.
