You are playing politics. I am sure TM was referring to Trump.

You are playing politics. I am sure TM was referring to Trump. I am sure he was, but I have never understood why to the left or to the right of a line is regarded by some as all good while the other side of that imagined line is all bad.
A couple of right wing POTUS have been just about the most dangerous men on the planet, but equally our esteemed Mr Blair, a 'leftie' if memory serves me correctly, was hardly a paragon of virtue on the peace and love front.

And he's been (rightly) castigated for it ever since. You can hardly find anyone who was in favour of the Iraq war now, but at the time all but 2 Tory MPs voted in favour while 85 Labour MPs (including Corbyn and Diane Abbott) voted against. It would have happened without the UK's involvement anyway.
The thing is, JJ, the left have always been willing to criticise Blair.

This is perhaps not the place to have a sensible discussion on this Aubs. However the government at that time claimed to be privy to sensitive (and false) information, and persuaded the opposition of those facts being true. It is very easy to criticise after the event.

I watched that film recently on Talking Pictures. It just goes to show that nothing changes.
