List of essential workers who can no longer afford to live in London. (Or build new schools with living quarters?)
[According to a February 2024 Generation Rent report, many essential workers in London are struggling to afford rent, including: Bus drivers, Care workers, Chefs, Cleaners, Community nurses, Hairdressers, Hospital porters, Kitchen assistants, Painters and decorators, Pharmacy assistants, Receptionists, Sales assistants, and Teaching assistants. The report found that no borough in Greater London is affordable for these workers. Even in outer London boroughs, which are traditionally considered more affordable, the cost of rent is still high. The rental crisis in London has been made worse by a number of factors, including: A shortage of privately rented homes, Increased mortgage rates, and A rise in average London rent. The Greater London Authority (GLA) is working to prioritize housing for key workers, which includes NHS staff, police officers, transport workers, firefighters, and teachers. The GLA is also consulting with stakeholders to develop a full list of key workers. Some councils may also give key workers additional housing priority if they don't have a social tenancy or live within a reasonable distance of their workplace. ]

Yes Arena, According to the 2021 census, 40.6% of London residents were born outside of the UK. This is a small increase from 2011, when 36.7% of London residents were non-UK born. London has the highest proportion of people born outside the UK in England and Wales. London is also one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. The 2021 census found that 46.2% of London residents identified with Asian, Black, mixed, or "other" ethnic groups, and 17.0% identified with white ethnic minorities.

Just recommendations Rikki, not law. If you are stopped by the police they can ask you to produce our license and insurance, but they can find out about any MOT or SORN declaration online. If you're asked to produce the documents they have to give you a reasonable time frame to do it e.g. after work the next day etc. This is because they have to believe you are committing an offence before stopping you. The roadside checks with cameras link up to DVLA and they can check you've paid and have an MOT.

Overcrowded prisons really do need help, surely a good start would be the complete scrapping of Thatcher's care in the community and the reinstallations of units to take care and treat the thousands of mentally unstable citizens? news.sky.com/video/prison-governor-tells-sky-news-prisons-should-be-for-serious-crime-not-social-media-comments-13217491[45% of adults in prison have anxiety or depression, 8% have a diagnosis of psychosis, and 60% have experienced a traumatic brain injury. Being imprisoned can exacerbate mental health difficulties, and there are too many avoidable remands and short sentences where a community alternative could have been viable.]
