How do these people manage to infiltrate and take over organisations, is it the apathy of members who don't vote or turn up for election meetings?
"Extinction Rebellion is led by extreme Marxists who want to 'bring down the government' and say people might 'DIE in the process of uprooting capitalism' "
www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html The Mail said Ed Miliband is Marxist as well.
They don't know what Marxist means.

They don't know what Marxist means. They probably assumed that he was influenced by Ralph

Yes, they said that as well: that Ralph was a traitor who hated the country (based on a diary entry he made when he was 17) and ignoring the fact that he had fought in the RAF, I think it was (while the Daily Mail editor's father spent the war reporting society gossip, that being a reserved occupation).
But they also said Ed's policies were Marxist. It's just a scare word, which in that context doesn't have any meaning: you could as easily say the Conservative Party's policies at the time were Marxist.
Marxism is just an economic theory, that emphasises the value of labour.

"Marxism, to put it rather simply, is a type of economic system proposed by Karl Marx in which there are no classes. The government would control all resources and means of production to, in theory, ensure equality"
In other words totalitarianism It just doesn't work, Atlee and to some extent Wilson tri4ed it here. Other countries who use it just stagnate. The old Soviets, Cuba, N Korea. Rhodesia etc The proponents are on a personal power trip

So Ed Miliband wasn't a Marxist, then. The people behind Extinction aren't Marxists. Atlee and Wilson weren't Marxists.
It's just a word used by the right to smear social democrats, or anyone who thinks Laissez-faire capitalism doesn't work for the overwhelming majority. The US Republicans called Hillary Clinton and Obama Marxists. It's meaningless.

They just like to help them out when they are busy! It's a convenient label for those seeking power, the current Labour top rank most certainly are and thankfully with no chance of ever getting elected
