I hope it's trouble with technology that is stopping jimmy from posting and not ill health. If you do manage to look in jimmy, we're sending best wishes and hoping to see you soon.

Morning all: Looks like a nice day ahead with some warm weather over the next few days. Not doing much today, hopefully a nice quiet day. What is going on in Birmingham city centre, stabbings galore there.

I nipped to Asda this morning and they have track and trace, had to put my name and phone number down. Many places don't bother with that.
I was at the self service check out in Asda when a guy came up behind me, put several items on the shelf and asked me what time they open to be served, I said they open at 10am. He left all his items and walked out. An Asda lady then asked me If all that stuff was mine and I told her what he had done. She went and got a trolley and said all those items would now be binned because he had touched them.

Was it in an Asda Cafe that they wanted your details? Our Asda have not yet reopened their Cafe, but another Cafe in the Arcade (Damn, I can't get used to calling Arcades "Mall"), has left forms on each table (collected when each table is cleaned before the next patron). Name and Phone number, and anything else that you might think is useful.
I'm sure that everything on the Stores Shelves has already been handled... in Reverse order: Shelf stacker, Unloader from the Delivery warehouse, Loaded into the warehouse, delivery packer from farm/factory and ... and... Several hands more often in unwrapped bread. The only stuff binned (from my "working days") was any frozen items been out of the Freezer for more than 3 hours. It is someone's job to fill in the Insurance claim (The same bod who records the Freezers Temperature ... Yup, they won't entertain unknown/unplaned quantities of scrap - that's why they insure.

Morning all: Back to normal today, schools are back in so traffic is getting busier around the town. Yes it was the Asda cafe where I had track and trace.

Oddly, The newly opened Cafe that I mentioned is Now closed...? One good thing is that although being waylaid to another town (to a shop that had computer spares) I ventured into another cafe, and was accosted by someone that I hardly know (and certainly didn't recognise in her facemask), and never expected to see, told me of the Little Elderly Lady (older than me) that I used to occasionally meet in the prev cafe has now been seen to be in Hospital - or more accurately, she was seen a week ago with the news that she had a Hospital date for Today. She has not been seen since before "Lockdown". I don't have her on my surviving phone, but She was very poorly. I have asked today's contact to give her my new number. Afraid she could not Give me her number as she was now a waitress and Busy.. I must-try to analyse my old phone and see what I can retrieve.

It is scorchio today. Remember I did warn you of a heat wave because I've got my winter clothes out. I went to the solicitor's this morning and signed my last will and testament. I think I've got nearly everything sorted out now. I'm making progress with getting the garden changed to something more managable and I'm thinking of having a whole new bathroom.

Much the same here Althea, last week I went to our solicitors firstly to put the house into trust for the daughters, then to make one of the daughter power of attorney. I've had the builder around today, he's taken up all the slabs on the patio and levelled the ground out, just waiting for the black and red bricks to be delivered now. We were having a new bathroom while away on holiday late September but of course that was cancelled so might have to wait until we're away next year If this damn thing has gone away by then.

Morning all: What has today got in store for us? It was very hot yesterday so I doubt we'll have the same again today. Outside is a mess while waiting for bricks to arrive, hopefully today.
