Yes, I like Katherine Jenkins, she's very pretty. But she murdered that song. Terrible. By gum it's been hot here today. All change now though. To me she's sugary sweet with a screeching voice. There are so many better sopranos around |

I remembered that during WW2 and afterwards Anne Shelton was as big if not bigger than Vera, and sold records galore here and in the USA. Today she appears to have been forgotten

Anne Shelton,Not first hand knowledge, but.... I remember My Ol' Mum telling me that She was acting in a TV soap... Was she a Barmaid/Licencee in an earlier Coronation Street - about the same time as "Give 'im the money Mabel" was also in that Soap?
