Arena, I hope you don't mind me saying this but you seem a bit like the prophet of doom when replying to my posts lately.
Warning about going back, warning about the grandchildren. We are actually very comfortable with what we intend to do (when we sell of course)and we are doing it for us, a new adventure as I said, and as for the grandchildren, we won't see much more of them than we do now - it will just be an easier journey for them and for us.
Anyway, I've had a lovely, if hard working, time in the garden this afternoon and Mr Star has taken the top off the grass which always makes things look tidier after the winter.
After last week it really is spring like out there - long may it continue!

These days I have to keep repeating what day it is. Otherwise I forget, I know the date that's no problem. Just can't remember what day it is.

Yes, every day is the same now, only the date changes. I find Saturday different....I don't know why. I used to work more hours on a Saturday. |

Sorry folk I have been busy baking for a charity that helps nme a lot
Acquired Brain Injury
They are having a bake sale tomorrow so I have made a few bits and pieces
7 fruit loaves
4 and a half dozen buns
3 sponge sandwiches
And a batch of scones to make in the morning
I hope folk enjoy them

A FEW pieces? That sounds like a whole lot of baking to me.
I am sure they will go like "hot cakes". I used to bake for the schools' fetes and my stall was always the first to sell out.
Grown women would be jostling each other to get at the cakes. The favourite was my chocolate and brandy cake.
I haven't made one in ages.
