Norah Jones just finished. Now I'm listening to Ray Charles.
Ray Charles reminds me of the time my two little daughters went to a big Christmas party. All the children were encouraged to sing or dance before they got a gift from Santa. My girls stood there shyly and I told them to just sing a song they liked.
Mouths fell open when two little girls,who looked like butter wouldn't melt, clicked their fingers and started singing Hit The Road,Jack.
They brought the house down.

Someone told me about this yesterday, so I have looked it out and got a cd-r of it. Japanese pop mixed with Captain Beefheart (and lots of other things): it sounds Japanese more than anything else though - some snatches of melody and harmony are very like Akiko Yano:
