As the title suggests, this is a thread for people to share old children's TV programmes on Youtube that they have found: I have a few to post, but I'm really hoping that someone will come up with something that I either don't know about or have forgotten. I'll just post the first episode and assume you can find the rest.
Most of what I'm putting up is stuff that I didn't see at the time, or didn't see properly at any rate, and have discovered since, like this:
This is the one that has the boulders with eyes.
Based on the book Marianne Dreams by Katherine Storr; the film Paperhouse was based on the same book.

The Enchanted Castle, based on the novel by Edith Nesbit. This has for me one of the scariest scenes (if you think about it a bit) in children's literature, and (in a way) in all literature.
This is the one with garden statues coming alive at night.

Five Children and It, Edith Nesbit again. Much better than the film version (with Eddie Izzard), which tacked on a would-be Railway Children My Daddy ending, which I found offensive: it wasn't in the book and its addition was tacky and cynical. Anyway, enough of that:

Sequel to the above: I've not seen it, but it's Edith Nesbit for flip's sake:

Children of the Stones. Quatermass, Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, Wicker Man, Rog Blake drinking a big whisky (etc etc), all on at Thursday teatimes in 1976:
This is the full thing; there are individual episodes on there as well though.

Emily's Ghost. Not really scary, and not really a children's TV series: but it was made by the Children's Film Foundation. It's the only film I think I've seen set in Victorian/Edwardian times that acknowledges the existence of pornography.

It's the birth or christening name of Lina Romay (not that one), Jess Franco's wife and muse (and co-director, editor, writer, etc).

One of the best, and co-written by Jean-Claude Carrière, who a few years later had also worked on Bunuel's version of the same story, and would work with Bunuel a few more times later on as well.
This always used to be on during the summer holidays (early/mid 70s), but we'd have to go back to school before it ended: did he ever get off it?
And isn't the music amazing? Eh? Eh?
It's all here, by the way.
