I had an insider tip and backed the horse at 20 to 1 before the race following an inside tip off, I went mad and put a £10 to win bet on. Thought I had won the Lottery !!! |

The Fall (Only time they ever got in the top 30, 23 I think, for one week: we saw the chart run-down in a pub before seeing them at The Astoria)
St Winifred's School Choir (Someone out of the Fall was in this lot, though after they had this hit)
And an extra one, in case any of the above are challenged:
(a great record, and much better than the R&B they played normally. I saw these (with Gene Pitney and Amen Corner) in 1968, at Leeds. You couldn't hear a thing for the screaming.)
