My mundane little verse
of doggerel - or worse
Would never excite
nor whet the appetite.
Would never amaze
nor contain a clever phrase.
No vivid picture drawn.
No lightbulb moment born.
Just the simplest of rhyme,
why,it's almost a crime
To show this little verse
of doggerel - or worse.
