Heard a commentator say that top flight footballers had their skills and ability but still needed their manager to put his arm around them and praise them, which looks like the Jürgen Klopp approach at Liverpool. Mourinho should take note

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is being lauded and praised for Man United sudden success but they are keeping strangely quiet that behind the scenes Ferguson is back, pulling the strings

A misconception has grown around Solskjaer during his short stint at United that he is merely carrying out the orders of Ferguson, who has been installed as some kind of back-seat driver.
The truth is more mundane.
Ferguson has been to Carrington twice since Solskjaer's appointment - once at the Norwegian's invitation, and another time to see former player Giuseppe Rossi, who has been allowed to train at the club as a favour.

It's all out of proportion now. Aaron Ramsey going to Juventus for £400.000 plus per week. He stands to bank £83 million in a 4 year contract. I can't think of any profession or any person deserving that sort of money. It's little wonder it's so expensive to either watch the games on tv or actually go to the stadiums these days when players are earning so much.

Are we in for a spate of football supporter hooliganism again On Friday a supporter jumped onto the field and attacked a player during a Rangers match Now today a supporter has done the same at an Aston Villa match

The Cameroon womens world cup football team certainly livened up the competition in their match against England

Is the England manager wise to drop one of his best players because of a "handbag" incident between players, now forgotten

Yes.....just to make an example that no one is indispensable.
