It is with a heavy heart that I announce the death of this dear member. Known to you all as Scorps, Chris was a witty, intelligent guy. We had mutual friends back in the sixties, when Chris was a London based sax player and we shared a few friends in common. Did we ever meet? We often wondered but couldn't say. We have been cyber-buddies for nearly twenty years on various forums. We'll miss you a lot,Chris. His very witty blog............ www.epicure.me.uk/donations to: www.atheismuk.com/

Just had an e mail from singer Madeline Bell, who was there for his send-off. It went well.

Fabulous earthy voice, but oh those teeth
You had an email, do you know her?

My claim to fame was meeting Ruby Murray at the height of her fame. She had a cottage near to Northampton and when I met her was entertaining Pat Phoenix and others, I remember he because she was nothing like Elsie Tanner Have also been kissed by all Three Degrees after a concert, and have met and chatted to the Queen

Between us Chris and I knew a large proportion on the UKs well known celebrities. He through being a musician and me through my tv/Fleet Street connections. We rarely mentioned them on forums, because some people seemed to get the egg, if you mentioned any connection. We mainly discussed such things on PM.
