According to 'the experts' (Chambers), the most hated word in the english language is, MOIST.
What words do you like and dislike?

My children always called squirrels squirtles, a much more appropriate name which we still use today.

I too am quite fond of 'moist' -- I have had several moist thoughts about certain young ladies in me time...
One of my least liked words would be 'posh' - it so often reveals the speaker to be an inverted snob.

Posh. Which as we all know stood for Port out Starboard home, the shady side when on passage to and from India.
(And if you did not know that, well you do now and can pretend you did!)

Actually I believe that is a popular myth... Not saying you are wrong Scorp, but it (POSH) seems to fit, and if not Port Out Starboard Home what is the origin of POSH?

Although it is disputed ,'posh' was an old term for a substantial amount of money. Like dosh.

A mildly interesting article here: www.merriam-webster.com/help/faq/posh.htmOED also dispute it standing for Port Out Starboard Home, and they should know!
