Charles the eleventh!? Or should that have been Charles II - oddly enough I was reading Pepys's diary about Charles's coronatiobn only this lunchtime... When he was crowned the Barons put their caps on - only afterward did he grant the barons coronets...
Nell and her oranges - it just struck me - she was a fruit tart!

Yes I was meant to be Charles II, otherwise it would not rhyme!
Eyesight and brain failing these days my friend. I notice the former and others notice the latter!

He wants to be George VII apparently. Sorry Scorp, you have lost me there. I thought it was Charles, then Will Iam, then George.

British monarchs do have to use their baptismal name as their regnal name. Charles's Grandfather George VI was actually christened Albert so there would be no reason why the next King shouldn't be George VII whatever he was christened. TJ

British monarchs do have to use their baptismal name as their regnal name. Just noticed that I missed a very important word from the first sentence of my post. It should, of course, read, "British monarchs do not have to use their baptismal name as their regnal name."
Isn't growing old wonderful!
