wrote After Henry, which was on the wireless and the telly; also his book A Shock to the System was made into a moderately successful movie. I mention these here in the TV Film & Radio bit because I want to discuss Brett's books, and there doesn't seem to be a forum for book discussion on this board. Hi Arena Anyway, just wondered if anyone else is a Brett fan. I loved his Charles Paris series, and also enjoy his Fethering mysteries. Not exactly Great Literature (unlike my contributions to this and other message boards, of course) but a very enjoyable read.

I only know his script-writing, I'm afraid. After Henry, with Prunella Scales and Joan Sanderson was excellent, in both media.

I only know the Adrian Mole diaries, which were great - poor Adrian, convinced that he was an intellectual because he had watched Malcolm Muggeridge on the TV and 'understood most of it'!
