In my opinion certain people on tv are unnecessary serving no proper function. Jay Blades made me stop watching the otherwise brilliant Repair Shop. He didn't have any skills but hogged the limelight.
The other vacuous pair are Ant & Dec.
I'm sure others enjoy them .

They do and that's why they're popular. People like to see ordinary blokes do well. Even, apparently, if they are vacuous.
Not a fan of either. I like my ordinary blokes to be able to string a sentence together and possibly get 5 questions right on University Challenge.
I concede that these people are successful but then again there's a few on BBC Breakfast who would seem to be better suited to Newsround. And there are definitely too many of them. I think they had 4 presenters on today. One person behind a desk is sufficient, two if you want to build in time for a dash to the loo and a slurp of tea.
Stop doing the weather from storm swept sea fronts. Stop sending 6 people to whichever country is in conflict, just get someone local to stand 25 miles from the actual conflict and tell us what the other 5 were going to say.
Lord knows how many they'll send to the US for the elections so they can stand outside gymnasiums and town halls telling us what the people in the studio know already.
Same for the Oscars, Baftas and all the rest.
