This latest series has seen some interesting and good stories about ordinary people getting on with their lives and having little successes. However, last night Olly Murs's story was probably the most sad and tragic story in a long time. When it said that Olly had Latvian descent and had a mystery about a missing family member and WW2, I automatically thought he must have some Jewish descent. No, that wasn't the story, everyone survived the war, nobody was in a Nazi concentration camp.
I won't say more in case some of you are still intending to watch.
This a different WW2 story and just so poignantly sad.

I'm not very TV-oriented, but WDYTYA is one of the few programmes I make a point of watching (along with HIGNFY). Sometimes I've never heard of the people involved and they don't all come across as very engaging, but the background stories are always interesting and Olly's was particularly so - and a bit out of the ordinary.
