Could the Luddite type marches etc happen again? AI will take far more jobs than it gives and people will ultimately end up working for the machines? 73% of American food is now ultra processed, this type of fast food already means people are no longer wanting to cook, AI is now heavily involved in our food industry too. The franchised food industry here is already killing people here, their discarded unempty containers/cartons are feeding millions of rats etc . www.theguardian.com/society/2024/feb/28/ultra-processed-food-32-harmful-effects-health-review

Can you see the industrial sabotage there when disgruntled staff put things on the wrong shelves!!!
One of the ways staff steal things in shops is by putting them in the wrong place. Then when they go round with a basket collecting misplaced items and items at tills that people have left. They simply take something when they get off the floor and put it where it shouldn't be. Then pick it up as they leave.
Obviously not armchairs, but small jars of coffee and so on!
As far as the barcode ordering system is concerned it's still on the correct shelf in the shop. Get a robot to try that.
When it comes to the armchair, they put it in the wrong part of the stockroom until the sales to ensure it doesn't sell to a customer. Then they get sale price and staff discount. Again the computerised barcode system only knows it's at the store, not where it is in the store.
I vaguely knew someone who was a manager at Next and she used to do this with winter coats and favourite items.
If some area manager arrives to do a stock take - which is as rare as hen's teeth nowadays, you distract them and hang them on the rack in the changing room.
One of the main reasons thing are priced by .99p, is to stop staff pinching the pound.
Humans v robots - nah!
