Yes! I feel pain and I bleed too Just the same as anyone of you
Yet! There are days that just the sun's rays Can change my mind in so many ways
Days when I can simply daydream Days just trapped in a warm sunbeam
In a world where wonders do never cease A world where dreamers can live in peace
A world where the newborn can throw our old books away Where aggression and violence has had its final day.

My body is a bit like my old car There's rather too many miles on the clock It struggles to get out of first gear It's really unreliable It's very slow going uphills With absolutely no chance of a long run The shock absorbers are going The brakes are slow to apply because my shoes/discs are worn It slides all over the place in ice It gets stuck in deep snow It wobbles around corners It rattles when going slowly My back bumper sticks out to far The body work has a lot of bumps and scratches My insurance goes up annually My headlamps are misty and very dim It leaks oil, water and toxic gas It needs a regular oiling It needs The AA after high spirits It failed it's annual mot Now it needs a good wash down And far more servicing that it has ever needed before So it's costing a fortune now to maintain.

Take me to the park Dad And put me on the swings So that I can whoop and wheee! With all the bliss it brings Back to a time When I was just a kiddie A childhood when I was ignorant Nothing could hurt me When you were there to guide me But knew I wouldn't listen It's like I always had A self destructing mission A time when no one made promises Because everyone had nowt When we all helped each other Without any doubt When England had Summertimes And Winter snow up to our knees When everyone said thank you Excuse me pardon and please When school was like a prison I learnt nothing and played the Berk Waiting like every other lad To be old enough to work Ahh wishing my life away Has gotten me where I am today Sitting here like an old fool With dreams of yesterday.

Why's everybody looking so glum Because Spring's moved straight to Autumn Flaming June's a damp squid again Grey skys and voluminous rain Seven bad Summers in a row Forget Summer here's the Autumnal glow Even fruit trees are in despair As cooler temperatures cling to the air All the floral shows are running late The fire's still burning in the grate England expects but doesn't receive There's no warmer weather we believe Here it doesn't matter what the season's say Here every season is grey.

Jun 24, 2013. There's a large patch of blue in the sky But is it coming our way There are clouds following close by Will it rain who can say
Another Novemberish day Right in the middle of June It is like we've missed a season With Autumn coming soon
Tomorrow is Wimbledon With the Murray saga again Perhaps they'll all have to learn To play tennis in the rain
Mandela's hanging on Although he's ninety four Iam sure that he'd like to feel this rain On his face outside once more....

Jul 15, 2013. Well...it's certainly taken it's time But Summer is finally here Balmy days of finding shade While sipping on ice cold beer
The ground is cracked and dry The sky is blue above Everything is rosy now With England we are in love
Some of us are sat inside So sudden is the heat Sitting with fan on all day Cooling our sweaty feet
I guess soon there'll be a hosepipe ban With the silly talk of drought A couple of weeks of Summer sun Then all the bums and boobs come out.

Scotland's considering independence The Welsh are thinking of it too But that won't make any difference To the likes of me and you Come rain or shine on this little island We are all joined together like it or not Let's leave segregation to other countries Be happy with the unity we've already got.

Hello and welcome to the UK If you know how to claim you'll be OK We've employed specialists,it's now the norm Do let us know if you cant fill in a form We print forms in languages that the locals cant read It gives the space to feed them the bulls hit we feed We now charge bedroom tax with no real alternative We've nowhere smaller to move you so we'll tax where you live We've sold off your water so expect a demand For the profits and tax that should paid are in a foreign land You can have an extortionate bill for your gas and lecky too If you are a ciggie smoker we've a mill to put you through Don't fill up you tank this week in your knackered old car That tenner a week you used to put in wont get you very far Watch out for the traffic wardens and the gatso behind the tree For it'll flash you faster than an old cinema mackie (anyone at the back in a mack) There's always the food banks when you've nothing to eat Or now a big queue at the doctors and the A and E for a seat You might even find a job and think that the pay is great But the bills that come in every week will take the food off your plate Still....stiff upper lip old chap this is just the British way Keep sucking in and blowing while the air's free anyway?

Don't let the night worry you The darkness will soon go away Tomorrow may not be a brand new start But it will a brand new day.
Vexation changes nothing If anything you will find That it achieves nothing It just scrambles up your mind.
It would be nice to get a blue sky But a grey day can be happy too There's a real feeling of elation When you realise any good day will do.

I guess there's a time When we all follow a star Well its time for nativity So here we all are Busy making cherub's Working late at night Thumbs sore from thimbles Pressing with all our might There's the baby Jesus The star of Bethlehem The donkey and the manger Must remember them Three wise men and gifts Gold, frankincense and myhrr Then there's the virgin Mary A special halo for her All the ragged shepherd's Each with their own crook Throw in a few wooly sheep Just to get the look Nearly forgot Joseph The stable and the straw Throw in a few candles Now let the wild parents in the door.

We see their faces everyday As for some foolish war they went away We hear their laughter and their moans Alas not their dying groans
The immortal young Selfless and strong Confident and foolishly led astray With a marching songs and bands that play
Eager just to pay the price For folks at home that are not so nice Who think freedom is an automatic right For those that are unprepared to fight...

A full moon dominates tonight Casting radiantly creamy light Strangely illuminating fields Of tired crops,Winter yields Visible marks upon a white face That even the naked eye can trace Hard to imagine humanity could spoil By setting footsteps upon its soil Best leave it alone to show All, of its seductive glow

Still I seek that warming wind That rides the summer breeze It stirs my bones stretching steps As I whirl and twirl with ease
Chasing butterfly's that seem to float Dodging my cupping hands With an ever changing direction Knowing nothing of their demands
Now I lay upon my back With blue skys above Chewing grass wasting time Lost in this green world of love.

Here comes the blue tit Weaving and a bobbing They're such a big hit With the hob knobbing Robin
Here comes the Blackbird With it's browner mate As soon as their chicks have stirred The hungry Magpie cannot wait
Here comes the Magpie With it's beak in my bird box With little wings it can still fly Off,with any chick it clocks.....

You get to a certain age It's like you've turned a new page No one seems to notice you Your hair's gone grey your nose is blue With dew drops hanging from your nose You start to wipe them on your clothes It's the simple things you miss most of all No human contact makes the world seem small Sometimes simple things can mean so much Even just another human touch Language is complex doesn't understand The emotion felt, at the touch of a hand.....
